Farrah Fawcett ALSO died today. Talk about unfortunate timing, being upstaged by the King of Pop. Ah well... Farrah had the morning... the Morning Star. Michael Jackson may have been the King of my college fraternity (even straight white boys loved Off the Wall) but Farrah was the Queen of Hearts, her chaste one piece swimsuit poster hung with care in every dorm room from Wazzu to Florida State. The Angel from Texas: famous, above all else, for her fabulous hair. The hair that launched a thousand trips (to the beauty salon), and the shaving of her scalp by her cancer doctor was one of those Acts... (the most famous head of hair in the world) that transcended the meme stream.
The angels (Watchers) were said to have been particularly attracted to the hair of the daughters of men, who they found beautiful, and took wives of whoever they chose. Even Paul warned women to cover their hair, "on account of the angels".
When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. --Genesis 6:1-2Farrah must have sensed the role Hollywood had in store for her by her first season as an Angel, and she backed out of a contract that became one of the most famous contract disputes in Hollywood history. To her credit, she refused to become the next Whore of Babylon.
Farrah married Lee Majors, the Six Million Dollar Cylon/Angel, a marriage that was finally anulled in "The Burning Bed".
I'm only a gay boy, but I loved Farrah. Even contracts with the Devil can be anulled. We have shorn our locks.

In the early 70s there was no one more beautiful on earth. There are a couple shots of her in that CNN vid that are just breathtaking.
She suffers a horrible death and Michael Jackson who victimized so many people around him in so many ways dies a quick merciful death.
No justice...
Heh- wordver sync - "clost"
Strange synchs weaving as I remember Farrah from the only movie I own with her in it - Logan's Run, where she plays the assistant to a plastic surgeon. Her death upstaged by a man famous for his plastic surgery, and who some news reporters speculated on his passing being possibly related to some new plastic surgury complications.
That infamous poster hung on my wall as a kid...she was a beauty.
Well done Michael.
Thanks for the comments. Isn't it odd how I have two posts, back to back, with pics of Farrah in them? Mrs. Shah was Empress Farah. The King and Queen of Pop Culture, laid to rest together?
Chris - no justice on this plane of existence, but the Watchmen say "Justice is coming to everyone, no matter what we do".
ViolatoR - strange indeed. Farah famously lost her hair, and so did MJ, in a "flaming" accident. "How about a little fire, Scarecrow?"
Thanks Todd.
thanks for this Michael and your reply to my previous comment-I wasn't a fan of hers-to me Jaclyn was the prettiest/coolest:)but hate like hell to see anyone die young-I do agree with Christopher Knowles comment about the Jackson part of this. One time I was arguing with someone about how it just wasnt fair for someone like Princess Diana to go so soon -when assholes like Johnson,Nixon and a whole host of other psychotics (in other nations also) got to live so much longer-and this be whether Diana was an overdone clothes horse or not (which I dont agree with) I think she tried to do some good. I was talking with Mom today and said Fawcett, Jackson who is going to be the third? not to be ghoulish-this is just something my grandmother believed in-things happening in threes or trinitys if you will-and mom mentioned Ed McMahon so there was the third right there-again not trying to be ghoulish or offensive. best to you and Varen as always!!
