Dragons vs. Christians

It’s no secret I love Christopher Knowles and his Secret Sun. He’s been on a tear lately syncing mermaids, dragons of the apocalypse, ancient (and coming soon to a theater near you) aliens from Vega, and his muse: Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins.

Shortly after the Super Bowl mega ritual, we are into Olympics coverage:

We recently looked at how the appearance of a topless cross-country skier from Tonga seemed to be the most gripping story--for the media, that is-- from the opening of the 2018 Winter Olympics.

That was on 2/9, and 2 days later, Cyclone Gita “hammers” Tonga.

CK blames the Perth Siren Song ritual, from St. Georges Terrace in Perth, or rather, he notices the sync. I of course, enjoyed the muscular Tongan flag bearer on a prurient level, the flag that just so happens to “represent Christianity” according to wikipedia. It features a red cross on white, the flag of St. George.

Also, the curious fact that the previous 2010 winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC, were marred by the death of Nodar Kumaritashvili, a Georgian luge competitor, on the same day as the opening ceremony. We note the flag of Georgia is covered in the cross of St. George.

The Olympics and death of St. George symbolism: they just go together.
