Right On Target

Well, I finally finished my Holy Grail book, ‘One King, One Country’. It ends with a Catch 22: The Grail only responds to the pure of heart (pulling the sword from the stone), but only the most murderous of men can attain the Grail (in the end, there can be only one). Along the way there have been odd sync after sync:

Sibyl posts a story about Thoth and Ma’at, relating how your soul (Ka) must be weighed against the “Feather of Ma’at”, and a day later the book sends a character through this exact Egyptian ceremony, being greeted by Anubis at the gateway to the afterlife and then judged by Thoth, using a single feather of Ma’at on an enormous set of scales. A day after that, I see an enormous and solitary black bird do an odd arial maneouver - a Raven. Famous for its “Caw”. Ma'at's feather is traditionally shown as white, so who's feather is black?

Later, the Once and Future King must kill his two father feathers (see below) in order to claim the Grail throne, and he uses his US army training and a sniper rifle to do it. A day later (In LaConner), I note this bumper sticker:

Snipe: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.
This conjures up images of the Grassy Knoll, and the recent shooting of the 'Beast' by Jared the Lone Gunman in Phoenix (Born Again), AZ (Alpha and Omega).

The Grail myth implies that the true Grail King must be a black man, and come Out of Africa. A modern religion was founded on the belief that Haile Selassie, the 'Lion of Judah', descendent of King Solomon and Queen Makeda, Empress of Axum, AKA the Queen of Sheba, was the one prophesied to come. That’s why Obama resonates so strongly for Africa. He is the King, and the mystery of his birth certificate creates a sense of intrigue about his true origins. Might he be hiding his noble lineage until the proper time is come? Note how the war in Libya is called the “Noble” war. Ah well, we know from 1962 how Grail Kings are treated. Will he also be nailed to a cross?

ECHO

FOCUS

I have all these “focus” and “echo” syncs swimming around, it finally occurred to me to look at the man in the mirror and just focus on the 'family'. Who is Alice, Who am I, Who are You? Who, who, hoo, hoo.

Maybe I’m trying to open a dialogue with my self/Self, and listen to the messages in the margins. I do have a sense of urgency. With Japanese radiation streaming here every day, my ego suspects that time is indeed short. So far, the only thing I’ve found the two sides to unanimously agree upon is sex. So that’s our Common Ground.

The Myth of Two Dads:  In occult biblical myth, Eve is the mother of two children, by two fathers. Adam (being created by Jehovah) is the father of Abel, while Cain is the son of Satan, or Lucifer, the “snake” of knowledge. The familial rivalry begins there, and continues even to this day. See Prince William and Prince Harry.

Air Safety

I have a recurring dream where I am skiing or driving or something like that, and suddenly I’m launched off a cliff up into the wild blue yonder, sort of like Wile E. Coyote, and for a moment I’m hovering there, literally miles high, pondering my fate. Of course, I then fall, and usually when I hit the ground I wake up, but last night was different.

I was driving my Octagon resonating MG convertible, which of course had no brakes - obviously a death trap. I’m driving along, without my glasses (?) and I drive right off a cliff, and land in a valley far below. Except this time, I survived the impact. I become a bit of a minor celebrity in the papers, becoming the “the man who survived certain death” or some such. But the odd thing was that I was really dead. I hadn’t survived.

Airshow ends in tragedy after stunt pilot crashes; William 'Wild Bill' Walker dies in horrific blaze.

He was flying a Soviet Yak-52, part of the “Red Thunder Air Show”, in the "Wings Over Flagler Fly In" in northeast Florida. So yes, another NE, masculine arrow point, but personally strange because Fort Flagler WA was where I met my echo last summer - A Road Trip With VALIS.

I remember Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land, where to the Martians, the veil between life and death was so thin as to be inconsequential. It makes me wonder, how many of us ARE there, walking the earth, disguised as the living? Strangers in a strange land, indeed. I wish we had some kind of secret handshake or tattoo or something...

Drawn and Quartered

The coin had been minted in 1317, in the Vatican’s own molds, just ten years after the great farce of the Templar suppression... used as passkeys into dialogue that would otherwise be fatal to one party or the other. --One King, One Soldier

In the apocryphal Grail myth, there is a certain gold coin that is used between Templars, Jesuits and Saracens, to decide the big issues. On one side is a figure of a dismembered man, and on the other is a man with the head of bird.

Alan at All the Happy Creatures posted this fantastic image of what was going on symbolically in the Masonic rocket to Mercury (Thoth) expedition, lift off on 3/17 - Osiris Day.

I was in town last week buying herbal tea with Templars, gold coins, Thoth and Osiris running around in my head and I got back a quarter in change. On a hunch I pull it out of my pocket to examine. On one side was, of course, the head of George Washington, and on the other was a figure of a man with the head of a bird...

King Kamehameha I of the Hawaiian Islands, all dressed up in bird feather headdress. Thoth, check.

Washington is a bit more obscure, but not by much. Washington was the Father of the country, much like Osiris was the “Father” of the world. The US was formed of 13 states, or dismembered parts. Isis searched the world and gathered her dead husband’s parts, but could not find the missing phallus. She should have looked in Washington DC.

O Sire US

The “flipping of the coin” meme has been well presented in popular culture, perhaps no more so than in the film 'Batman, the Dark Knight', (AKA the Caped CRUSADER). Harvey Dent, AKA Two Face is literally two sides of the same coin, but he can only present one side at a time. So he flips to decide. Will you be serving Mercy or Justice today, sir?

The two columns of Solomon’s Temple, Joachim and Boaz, are also known as Mercy and Severity (Justice), the two sides of human consciousness that are constantly at odds.

The Dark Knight was brilliant, and perhaps it illustrated exactly what does occur in the Oval Office, late at night:
On the full moon, a group of 14 men, dressed in dark robes, gather, once again, in the Oval Office (Vesica Pisces) to decide the fate of world events. 13 stand around the President, in a circle. Shall we go to war against Libya (Iraq, Iran, Russia, Japan, etc.)? The High Priest hands the President the sacred coin of Thoth/Osiris. His toss will decide the fate of millions. Heads, we go to war, tails we don’t. The coin lands heads up, yet again. The Oracle has spoken, the wheels of war begin turning. The ceremony ends, the High Priest takes back the sacred coin. He drops it safely back into his pocket, right next to the other coin, the one that always lands tails.

Aftermath

Well, Oliver's back home, resting peacefully. I want to attempt to share with you how strange yesterday really was for me, from a sync point of view. Remember the sudden onslaught of Fleur de Lis that began early March?

The morning of the 17th we were visiting Oliver at the vet and this van was parked a few blocks away. It includes 441, the mirror of 144 (the no. of the sealed, 12 times the 12 tribes of Judah, etc.)

Back on the 14th I was walking Ginger (Oliver's sister) to her favorite little park and I found this green fleur de lis lying by the side of the road directly across from it. I picked it up and I've been keeping it in my pocketses...

Back to the 17th. I decided to take 'the Ginj' to her park again, and I found these chalk marks on the sidewalk on the way:

It had nothing to do with St. Patrick's Day, just some writing left by some utility worker. We get to the park, which is named Louie Park, after the owner's dog. That gives me Sirius, Louie Armstrong, and Louis 14 the Sun King all in one little sign. Note the danger.

The sign sits on this lonely little shed, which has some gigantic diamonds on it.

If you walk around to the back of the shed, and peak into the 'rear window' ;-), you'll see an old blue Ford Falcon in storage, though when I peaked this time it appears that work is being done on the engine, so maybe Horus is finally getting ready to fly.

Obligatory Hollywood movie poster with a dead Goddess

Continuing on around the block, we come to the Holy Family Catholic Church, and this interesting vehicle parked out front:

It's a red VW Eurovan, which gives us the obligatory Nazi sync (VW was Hitler's "people's car") and yet another 144. Which is "thinking green":

Rounding the corner to head back home, we come across a WSU (Wazzoo) Cougar sign. Mountain LION, or red lion of Judah.

As I was putting the finishing touches on this little yellow brick road, Bring a Trailer posts this orange Alfa Romeo Montreal. 1971, (17 reversed) Montreal (Royal Mountain, Fleur de Lis), "awakened from slumber".

Alfa Romeo has perhaps the most wonderful badge of all automobiles (that's a 'Saracen' in the jaws of the serpent) and they even include a 'quadrifoglio' (4 leaf clover) in their iconography.
So I'm putting all that into my pipe and smoking it during the next week. That is, in between buying canned food and moving into the basement to avoid the radioactive cloud from Japan. On the horizon is March 25, the feast day of St. Dismas, the "good thief". I have a feeling it will be memorable.

Assembly 17

Heaven

Oliver, the Australian terrier has been having a really tough time. He suddenly stopped eating and began vomiting on Sunday, and we took him to the vet. He’s been there ever since, and finally last night they figured out he had a foreign body lodged in his gut, and then emergency surgery and today he looks like hell but is stable and we have hope that he’ll survive. His sudden illness has also devastated our meager credit reserves, so we have a lot of dollar/snake bite anxiety to add in.

Some of you may remember my tribute to John (our next door neighbor Saint) who died last last spring.
I think maybe Osiris just died in my neighborhood. John lived off exit 17*, and he went to church at 1717* Bellevue Way. A Facebook page made to honor and encourage him - “Get well John” - had 1700* entries.
So this afternoon Var was out gardening and happened to talk to John’s widow (Isis) about Oliver and she spontaneously offers to help with Oliver’s medical bills! She said “John would have wanted to”.

Today is 3/17.

Somehow, through all this, I think I've also been vomited up a 'foreign body'. I must have swallowed something a long time ago, and it's time to be rid of it.

If I told you what it takes to reach the highest high
You'd laugh and say nothin's that simple
But you've been told many times before Messiahs point you to the door
No one had the GUTS to leave the temple --The Who

* According to Greek historian Plutarch, the ancient Egyptian god Seth murdered his twin brother Osiris in the twenty-eighth year of the latter’s reign, on the seventeenth day of the third month. Twenty-eight divided by 17 approximates the square root of e. If the date- setting priests were aware of this constant and wanted to express the nature of the festival by its date, they could have found no better way than to so assimilate the god’s death with the root -- or cause -- of new growth.

The Naked Justice of St. Patrick

I was inspired to write about St. Patrick’s Day by these panels from Class Comics depicting the origin story of Naked Justice - the super-cock powered alter ego of mild-mannered and hunky British banker Felix Himner. While on holiday in Egypt, Felix explores the ancient tomb of an Egyptian deity who just might be Osiris, given the emerald green throne, and somehow brings the God back to life. We note the mighty erection, signifying that Osiris has been re-membered, and also that (King) Felix is a red head and wears a red neckerchief, symbolizing “beheading” or ego death. The mighty power of the Egyptian God is transferred to Felix, who in a sense becomes the "son" of Osiris, receiving the inheritance.

Osiris’ death ritually occurs on March 17, which is also the feast day of St. Patrick, the missionary Saint of Ireland, who we venerate by the 'wearing of the green' and getting blind drunk. Ireland is also called the Emerald Isle, and is well known for their red heads.

Legend credits St. Patrick with teaching the Irish about the concept of the Holy Trinity by showing people the shamrock, a three-leaved clover, using it to highlight the Christian belief of 'three divine persons in the one God.' -wikipedia

The Egyptian trinity of Osiris, Isis and Horus, and the Hindu Trimurti of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva show that this "three into one" Godhead symbol is quite universal, though the shamrock has a double meaning.

The shamrock is also the suit of clubs, which in the tarot is the suit of wands. The image from the Rider-Waite tarot being barely less explicit than the naked Justice cartoon. It means creative power, as exemplified by the 'Green Man' - another name for Osiris.

Pious legend credits St. Patrick with banishing snakes from the island, however all evidence suggests that post-glacial Ireland never had snakes. However, one suggestion is that snakes referred to the serpent symbolism of the Druids during that time and place, as exampled on coins minted in Gaul (see Carnutes). --wikipedia
Not to rain on the Catholic parade, but Druids weren’t the only ones to use serpent symbolism:

Then the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died. And the people came to Moses and said, "We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD and against you. Pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us." So Moses prayed for the people. And the LORD said to Moses, "Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live." Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live. --Numbers 21:6-9

The Rod of Asclepius, also known as the asklepian, is an ancient symbol associated with astrology, the Greek god Asclepius, and with medicine and healing. It consists of a serpent entwined around a staff.
In Grail mythology, the return of the Grail King is associated with the healing of the land, since the King and his land cannot be separated. Much like the Green Man.

Tracy Twyman has done a fabulous study of the serpent on a stick as it appears on our symbol for money: $ (which, interestingly, is also the no. 4 on my keyboard). Tracy helps us see that this little scrap of green paper was carefully invested with all the magical creative power of the Druids, Egyptians, Hebrews and Templars (The Knights Templar being the first capitalists or "banksters") As bankers use the scrip (lending money out of thin air) it literally creates something out of nothing, or in other words, the very definition of magic.

The most powerful force in the universe is compound interest --Albert Einstein

As I was musing about snakes, wands and the dollar, I find the brazen serpent winking at me from the top right corner of Harry Potter brand Pancake mix. I recalled that both Harry and Lord Voldemort have the same “stuff” in their wands.

I suppose St. Patrick is the Irish Moses, driving out snakes by example of the shamrock, club, wand, brazen serpent, phallus. Or in other words... Naked Justice.
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life". --John 3:14-15
OK, even Jesus is getting in the act now, comparing himself to the “brazen serpent”. Jesus famously said that the love of money was the root of all evil, and it would seem that bankers are representing that to us pretty well. How perfect that our money is covered in serpents, and that we are experiencing a collective economic “snake bite”.

And this is where it gets really weird, because on the 14th (pi day, also representing wholeness or holeness) Oliver the Australian Terrier suddenly gets really sick, he’s vomiting up everything he eats (the carpet will never be the same) and we have to take him to the vet. The Rod of Asclepius is the symbol of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

This leads to a heated discussion about paying for vet bills with no actual money in the bank, and so we agree to drag out the credit card (once again) to pay for it. So even (especially) in an emergency, the serpent bank will get its 17% interest, and will have 'made' something out of nothing, or from my point of view, gotten its pound of flesh. Because I'm the one who will have to do all the heavy lifting on the magical money creation machine to pay the bills.

Now that's brazen.

NOTES:

Our emergency vet was Dr. O'Hanlon.

The Clinic rocked. We heard The Who "Behind Blue Eyes" playing on their muzak. Of course I was wearing my Port Townsend hat.

The doctor Who took Oliver's X-Ray, her name was Dr. Kissinger? Ouch!

I don't know the artists' name for the very cool Green Man image, something I just copied from somewhere. If you do, please let me know.

A homeless Jedi in Seattle. Note the 'green man' winking into the FAther. And of course, the 44, er... $$.
