Madonna and Horse

Last Saturday, Madonna was thrown from her horse in the Hamptons after her mount was spooked by paparazzi! By the evening she was released from Southhampton Hospital with a few bruises. However, let us recall that Dynasty's Krystle Carrington was also "fine" after being thrown from her horse (after it was spooked by the wicked Alexis Colby) and only later did we discover that the fall resulted in a miscarriage!

There is synchromystic ivy growing between Madonna, the Linda Evans character of Krystle (the second wife) , and Joan Collin's character of Alexis (the spurned and jealous first wife). The fascinating roles of Joan Collins have been the subject before at Gosporn (curiously, exactly one year ago - 4/21/08), particularly Star Trek's doomed Edith Keeler (read Edith Keeler Must Die). Edith was killed in a car accident, synching with Diana, Princess of Wales. Diana's car was "spooked" by paparazzi, and possibly resulted in a "miscarriage" (the rumored child between Diana and her lover Dodi). Dare I even mention Lady Godiva - the tax protester?

Is Diana's child being raised in secret by the Jedi (Shemsu Hor), on some barren "desert planet"?

NOTES:

The Illuminated Collins Bloodline, according to the Watcher Files.

Linda Evans, the "second wife" of both Blake Carrington and John Derek, also cavorted with Atlantean demigod Ramtha in Washington State. Linda also became the androgene "spokesmodel" for the feminine shoulder pads fad.

Whoa-double whoa and a half!! I so remember those episodes -and of all things -long ago-back in the 80s also I remembered Linda Evans "pitching" her Ramtha experience as "profound"! These are very interesting connections you bring up -I am going to have to look at the other article. I guess I knew slightly more about popular culture than I thought;-)Interesting also about Diana's car being "spooked" by papparazzi-best to you and Varen as always-now I am off to look at other article!
I have never been much of a fan of Madge (;-) I know shame on me!)but Diana and her life really touched me-she died way too young in my opinion-those god-awful Windsors-I wonder if Harry will keep his looks as time goes on? I think Wills is going to lose his-well enough of my silliness-thanks again for thought provoking article!

I never get it all in one comment do I? Just wanted to say the "shoulder pad" comment was funny-for a bit it seemed they were trying to be linebackers with those things!

Compare these two ditties' lyrics, the first by The Fab Four:

Lady Madonna, children at your feet
Wonder how you manage to make ends meet
Who find the money when you pay the rent
Did you think that money was heaven sent

Friday night arrives without a suitcase
Sunday morning creeping like a nun
Monday's child has learned to tie his bootlegs
See how they run

Lady Madonna, baby at your breast
Wonders how you manage to feed the rest
Pa pa pa pa...
See how they run

Lady Madonna lying on the bed
Listen to the music playing in your head

Tuesday afternoon is never ending
Wednesday morning papers didn't come
Thursday night you stocking needed mending
See how they run

...and the following, by the British Invasion era duo, Peter & Gordon, honouring the tax-demonstrating Lady Godiva:

Seventeen, a beauty queen
She made a ride that caused a scene
In the town

Her long blonde hair
Hangin' down around her knees
All the cats who dig striptease
Prayin' for a little breeze
Her long blonde hair
Falling down across her arms
Hiding all the lady's charms
Lady Godiva

She found fame and made her name
A hollywood director came into town
And said to her
"How'd you like to be a star?"
"You're a girl that could go far"
"'specially dressed the way you are"
She smiled at him
Gave her pretty head a shake
That was Lady G's mistake
A-hey-hey-hey
Lady Godiva

He directs certificate 'X'
And people now are craning their necks
To see her
'cause she's a star
One that everybody knows
Finished with the striptease shows
Now she can't afford her clothes

Her long blonde hair
Lyin' on the barber's floor
Doesn't need it long anymore
Lady Godiva

A short-hair-demonstrating long hair,

Hi Dev, thanks for the comments. Dynasty was so huge back in the day, I think those two divas will always loom larger than life for me. The three wives of John Derek are a fascinating subject: Ursula Andress, Linda Evans and Bo Derek. All genetically identical.

Anadae - wow, great lyrical synch. Lady Godiva is perhaps a "rising archetype?"

How is that these stars all start out as rebels from "the street" and all become like something out of a Merchant-Ivory film as they reach middle age? What weird chthonic power does the faded British aristocracy hold over the imaginations of the rich and powerful? Is it ancient Romans all wanting to be Hellenic Greek?

Ooops, Professor Knowles, I meant, that's a salient & concise observation, esp. "felt" by yours truly, weened up on Anglicanism BUT with a heavy dollop of the Hellenic pantheon ~ (:-0}
