The "rod of iron" is mentioned three times in the book of Revelation. Three times! That's three times more than the infamous 666, the subject of so much attention. What is so damn important about Jesus' rod of iron? Why is it mentioned not one, not two, but three times?

Considering Rev 2:27 again. If "rod" means what I think it means, it sheds a provocative light onto the nature of Jesus' relationship with his Father. Jesus frequently referred to his heavenly father as "Abba", which translates into "Daddy". I know of only one kind of relationship where a grown man calls another man "Daddy".
