The Two Towers

The Two Towers
I was chatting with Alan Green last night about the new London Bridge Shard, which I sense is the "twin" of the new One World Trade Center in Manhattan. The Shard was topped out in April 2012, the OWTC is scheduled for topping out in August. Both are "pillarmids" to use Jake Kotze's word - skyscrapers that evoke both pillars and pyramids in their symbolism. The Shard is Europe's tallest building, while OWTC, at a symbolic 1776 ft. including spire, will be the tallest building in the New World.

I see this as a "hands across the waters" thing, the twin towers destroyed in the 9/11 attacks rebuilt, one in the United Kingdom and the other in the United States.

Much has been made of the Statue of Liberty between the WTC towers, representing Isis/High Priestess (the Holy of Holies) between the two pillars of Jachin and Boaz. I consider the WTC to have represented the Masonic third temple of Solomon.

The Three Mary's
Isis is also called Stella Maris, or "Star of the Sea". There are many Catholic parishes in maritime locations called "Our Lady, Star of the Sea". The word Mary has its root in Mar - the sea. So we have these two new pillars standing quite literally on either side of Mary, AKA the Atlantic Ocean, or Atlantis.

A piece of the Emerald Tablet of Thoth/Hermes
In the 2006 film, Superman Returns, Lex Luthor uses one of the stolen Kryptonian crystals (or shards), which he has combined with Kryptonite, to grow a new continental landmass in the Northern Atlantic Ocean. The landmass threatens to destroy Metropolis, so Superman must descend into the depths, and then lift this new continent out of the ocean and hurls it into the heavens. We see him stepping into the role of Atlas, the titan who carries the world on his shoulders, who also happens to be the first born twin son of Poseidon, the king of Atlantis. We note he is powered by the sun, and Isis/Mary's fruit is the sun/son.

Alan reminded me of The Dark Crystal:
The Dark Crystal is a 1982 British-American fantasy film directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. It dramatizes the story of Jen, an elflike 'Gelfling' to restore balance to his alien world by returning a lost shard to a powerful but broken gem.
Ahhh... the USA, a powerful but broken gem - the jewel in the crown, so to speak. Perhaps the former rebels are to be reunited with the Mothership... via a lost "shard".

The Curse of Narcissus

One of the odder things about same-sex attraction is that not only do you want to have the man of your dreams, you want to BE him, too. It’s the Narcissus curse/blessing. Many an erotic gay story sees the nerdy protagonist transformed into the object of his own desire by some magical super stud. They both consummate their “self love”, as if a super model’s mirrored reflection came to life. Gay men tend to have a lot of personal identity issues, not being satisfied with the way we look, etc., and perhaps a straight man will never understand that when a gay man looks in the mirror he may see himself, but he’s looking for his ultimate erotic fantasy. Have pity on gay vanity, the mirror is a cruel mistress.

This highly erotic and admittedly adolescent fantasy is perfectly presented by this recent image at Brawny Stud. Somebody photoshopped their head (with a shit-eating smirk) onto Ronnie Colman’s body and attached a porn star cock. I used to do the same thing when I was a teenager with pencil and paper, only my No. 2 had even more imagination in the genital department. (but not the pecs... Dayum!)

They say that opposites attract, but it is hilarious how often a gay couple will be almost twin-like. Var and I are both relatively similar in appearance, though we are far more “alike” in psychological ways, which are ultimately more important. But not when yer jerkin’ off...

Note: What the...? Egyptian hieroglyphs in the background?

Watching For Snakes

I’ve always been interested in time travel sci-fi and alternate realities. In most time travel fiction, the paradox of meeting yourself is solved by spontaneous destruction - or something similar. Yet in the latest Star Trek, Spock meets his elder self, and lives to tell. Sorry to go on so much about Star Trek, just be glad I haven’t yet seen Avatar!

I find this idea very intriguing. Is there an “older and wiser” version of my self in an alternate universe? Glad you asked! According to Charles Burke:
Physicists and mystics agree that all of time co-exists simultaneously. The way we experience time, with one moment following another moment after another moment, is (they say) an illusion. In reality, all moments of time are hanging around together, and our consciousness is threading its way through and among those moments of time.

This concept is consistent with the “frozen time block” experience of Salvia Divinorum and Shamanic ritual that engender an “ego-death” experience. Ego-death is the destruction of the illusion created by our experience of individual (egoic) consciousness, which is threading its way through and among the frozen time blocks - like a snake.
They also say that there are an infinite number of variations of each possible moment. That's what they call "parallel universes" in the science fiction movies. As it turns out, those parallel universes are not actually science fiction after all. They're really there-the physicists say so. We just can't usually see them.

Hmmm. My egoic experience appears to be limited to one time block at a time. Sorta like this Apple Cover Flow™ feature on my iMac - here showing one file at a time in a seamless flow from one to the next, sorta like a movie? (hella snake, btw) Curiously, the apple is associated with the snake and the tree of knowledge. Is this “snake” my own ego, navigating (scheming) itself from one time-block to another, always on the look out for an upgrade? Funny how upgrades always cost you money.

This synchs very strongly with the series of events from the infamous Dreams of Future Past, where the middle dream featured a snake-like movie house usher. Perhaps this “movie house” represents the illusion of egoic perception? The downside is that ego consciousness always ends with death... every movie comes to an end. And maybe that’s what the story of Moses and his brazen serpent was all about:
And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. Numbers 21:9

In other words, anyone who saw through the illusion of ego, who “watched for snakes”, was saved.

Twin Wrasslin'

I had a wonderful/horrible lesson (yet another one) into the WICKED power of imagination this week. It was via a “client” synchromystically named Thomas (the twin). Thomas had hired me to do a drawing of his dream boat, and this was last November, when Var got really sick and I suddenly went into panic/caregiver mode, and basically I stopped returning calls and emails from everyone, including Thomas.

Thomas had not heard much from me for almost two months, and he finally called yesterday to see what was up, and shortly the conversation devolved into shouting and Thomas calling me a liar and a thief, which believe it or not only happens occasionally.

Since he hadn’t heard from me, he imagined the worst, which was that I was “stealing” his fabulous idea (ahem), and brushing him off. Over the month he imagined all kinds of things about me, to the point where he believed his imagination idea of me more than well... me. Even sent me synchronistic, circumstantial “proof“ of my double dealing, tying a (non gosporn) blog post of mine to one of his ”ideas“. To him, the truth sounded like a ridiculous lie.

So to get back, I imagined all kinds of wicked thoughts about Thomas, the drug dealing crook!!

And I realized that Thomas was simply showing me a mirror of my conspiranoid self. I see the actions of all the various “villains” (George Bush, Obama, Prince William, Lady Gaga...?), and not being privy to their innermost thoughts and secret meetings, I make shit up. Just like Thomas did about me.

This year is the year I finally accept that “conspiracy” is just the first degree of the synchronicity tracing board. Obama is no more conscious of his actions than I am. We are all puppet/actors of a Higher Consciousness, and Free Will is an Illusion.

Thank the fucking God. Time to relax.

Rhapsody in Two

Thuth at Conspiracy Grimoire asked me in a recent comment to think about Solomon's Temple in a wider context. So here goes...

Solomon's temple was built to enshrine the Shekinah - the Holy of Holies, the glory of the Divine presence. Solomon's temple was flanked (or guarded) by two columns - Joachim and Boaz. Jachin (Joachim) means "Justice." Boaz means "Mercy." In other words, the eternal conflict of a dualistic Godhead. Will you be serving mercy or justice today, sir?

I'll take it one step further and suppose that since Solomon is synonymous with wisdom, that the "temple" is the human brain, the two towers represent the left and right lobes, and the Holy of Holies is the Pineal gland - the internal stargate and intermediary. It's bio-cosmic! I'll also suggest that the "temple" is our idea of who or what God "is" at any stage of our cultural evolution. And that's why the temple keeps getting destroyed and rebuilt, because our concept of God keeps changing. "Mind blowing", so to speak.

Pattern: temple creation - desecration - destruction - new temple. It happens over and over again - we're always working on our next temple. One of my most consistent mythic inspirations is the Trojan War, and I recall how the Greek desecration of a temple is rather central to the story - Odyssey One.

Even Jesus famously defiled the temple. He angrily tossed out the money changers. Just to make certain, he rends the curtain of the Holy of Holies in two with a thunderclap (Yay Zeus!!) Jesus was also always defiling the Sabbath (healing the lame on Saturday - the nerve!) a temple rebel, one might say.

Samson defiled the Dagon temple by bringing down two columns, heralding a new temple - a new idea of God.

Freemasons call themselves the inheritors of the Knights Templar - the knights of the temple. If anyone knows about Solomon's Temple, it would probably be they. Considering the synchy evidence that Masonic Manhattan is the symbolic New Jerusalem, it is no great leap to suppose those Freemasons might build a temple or dozen? Manhattan makes the Giza plateau look like a cheap strip (Dubai) mall!

If we can see New York as Jerusalem, then we can also see the World Trade Center as the modern temple complex, and the twin towers as Joachim and Boaz. Which properly places 911 in the mythic framework of the destruction of the temple. Hate to say it, End Timers, but Solomon's third temple was destroyed on September 11, 2001. It's later than you think.

Which means that our idea of God was also destroyed then. It was almost like... the end of the world.

Considering that the World Trade Center was essentially a temple of prostitution for the Almighty Dollar, maybe no huge surprise?

A temple destruction/apocalypse is the signpost of Revelation - a new idea of God being born into human consciousness. Lucky us, witnesses to the event.

When the Twin Towers fell, I pretty much followed my programming and sought out answers from the unusual sources, which involved a lot of Prison Planet and Fundamentalist End Times sites. (I always had to go in as an undercover homo to the fundie sites), but anyway, that was a space I lived in for about three years after 911. Not a happy place. And then I met Jeff Fairhall, had the ego-death thing, and eventually started blogging about this shit on Gosporn.

I think I'm STILL following my programming (nature or nurture). I'm coming up with alternative ideas of who and what God is. So are many thousands of others. Eventually one will stick, and we'll have our new temple - probably same as the old temple. But here and right now - in between temples - there is a lot of room for interpretation. It's like the human hive mind has been blown wide open - it's 70 AD all over again! A pretty cool place to be.

Pouring the Foundation

"The Deck" was finally completely demolished last weekend. The carpenter, wearing a blue "Sea Dru Nar" tank top and W (trident) emblazoned sneakers worked his ass off in the heat, but he got the the job done. He also poured the foundation for the supports for the new deck, and a fine job he did. Concrete is actually made from limestone - AKA recycled shellfish.

So pretty cool to find some concrete/crustacean synchs this week, starting with Anadae's link in the comments to the sub-lime DJ Lobsterdust!

Today Gods Amongst Men posted a Twins Redux featuring those Russian hotties Konstantin and Oleg - cavorting amongst the concrete ruins.

And also today, Bring a Trailer features a 1968 Fiat (King) Abarth 1300 - "perfected". Which is really no big deal, even considering the red and white paint job and the wink at Lucky 13. But check out the Abarth badge:

Provincetown and Siena Are Twins?

A few days ago, Varen noticed that the Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, MA is a duplicate (twin) of a tower in Siena, Italia - the Torre del Mangia (Tower of the Eater). I'm writing this while I chow down on a lovely bowl of bow tie pasta...

P-town looms large in gay history, and also in Var's memory. He spent some pretty wonderful summers there, and he STILL talks about Spiritus Pizza as if it was some kind of holy ground. On the other side of the coin, I have personally been in Siena during the Palio (horse race: Read C Horses) and considering my love/hate relationship with Italy and the Church, it is an interesting conjunction of symbols.

Dev has been digging into the history of John Dee, the Harry Potter of Elizabethan England, and article no. 9 is about the Armada's (foiled) Spanish attack on England. The heraldic symbol of Spain is the twin towers of Heracles (read In the Shadow of Giants) loosely tied together by a scroll with the saying "Plus Ultra".

Tying and bow ties are bound together at Gosporn (read The Holy Tugboat), mostly due to Jesus saying "for my yoke is easy and my burden is light". Or in other words, "my joke is simple and my burden is enlightenment". Always yucking it up, that boy.

I was over visiting some A Gay friends (rarely invited, since I'm currently on the B, or, probably D list, but that's another story) and he's got a stunning dining room table held together with butterfly joints, making a classic bow tie.

I mention how the "bow tie" is a powerful symbol for me, and the host suddenly goes into this intense 10 minute monologue about the history of this table and how intertwined it is with his life and realized I was watching him doing a synchromystic channelling? *shaking head* Anyway.....

Back to those towers. They've been encrusted with considerable (and dubious?) symbolism over the years, however they were originally built not as mere symbolic obelisks, but as functional watch towers, so you could have a bit of warning if a neighboring city-state was coveting your grapes or maidens. Now, remember that faggots (eunuchs) are the traditional guardians of the royal household, and you will perhaps sense a tie-up.

The Swiss Army Knife of Narcissus

The mythology of many cultures is filled with tales of twin deities, and indeed, the very concept of homosexuality has a strong "twin" nature to it. Gay men are often accused of spending too much time in the mirror, attempting to perfect our reflections, which takes me all the way back to the myth of Narcissus, cursed to love his own reflected image.

This is a moral tale in which the proud and unfeeling Narcissus is punished by the gods for having spurned all his male suitors. It is thought to have been intended as a cautionary tale addressed to young men. Until recently, the two sources for this version were an epitome of the works of Conon, a Greek contemporary of Ovid, preserved in the Bibliotheca of Photius and the segment in Pausanias, about 150 years after Ovid. A very similar account was discovered among the Oxyrhynchus papyri in 2004, an account that predates Ovid's version by at least fifty years and is thought to have been recorded by Parthenius.

In this story, Ameinias, a young man, loved Narcissus but was spurned. As a way of rebuffing Ameinias, Narcissus gave him a sword, which Ameinias used to kill himself on Narcissus' doorstep; he prayed to Nemesis that Narcissus would one day know the pain of unrequited love. This curse was fulfilled when Narcissus became entranced by his own reflection in a pool. Completing the symmetry of the tale, overcome by repentance, Narcissus took his sword and killed himself. --wikipedia

The twin gods above are Konstantin and Oleg, via Gods Amongst Men.

They both work at the same large Russian gym. Oleg is loquacious whilst Konstantin rarely speaks. In this picture, however, Oleg looks to be the shy one whereas his brother has a mischievous face.

The human brain is a kind of twinned organ, with the left and right hemispheres looking at one another across the Corpus collosum - the great divide. This division of the brain - between the Ego and the Id - is a theme I am drawn to again and again. I am writing this from the left (analytical, egoic) brain, but I am writing about my creative muse, who comes from the right side. Am I writing about my lovely twin?

The Corpus collosum is the glandular representation of the Fall - the infamous division - the War of Heaven. The Great Divide is merely a few molecules across, but it might as well be the Grand Canyon to us - an impassable boundary that usually speaks to us in maddeningly obtuse dreams and visions - "through a glass darkly", as the Apostle Paul put it.

Yesterday I found a powerful catamaran synch (catamarans = twin hulls = joined hemispheres) because I found this wild Swiss catamaran, campaigned by Victorinox - of Swiss Army Knife fame. (the pic is obviously photoshopped, but the catamaran really does exist). The Swiss "white cross" are no strangers to Gosporn, see here. Switzerland is a corrugated, mountainous country, and attempts a certain "neutrality" in European politics. In WWII it played the part of diplomatic "bridge" between the Axis and the Allies, a sort of concretized Corpus collosum?

Perhaps homosexuals (and all artists) are like the Swiss - the shadowy diplomats between these two realms, between the Twins. We're trying to work things out, make some peace. We're like the Haley Mills of the Psyche! If there isn't peace in the bedroom, there won't be peace in the boardroom!

I was reading the classifieds in the new Woodenboat mag today, and noticed a small wooden rowing/sailing boat called "The Norseboat" that advertises itself as "The Swiss Army Knife of Boats", and it made me think about the concept of a Swiss Army Knife - it changes itself into any tool you desire. It's a Transformer!

Those Transformers are all seriously after the Allspark, and I am reminded how a spark plug fires across a very tiny gap, to power the magical internal combustion engine. So it makes me wonder... is my brain an internal combustion engine? And if it ever gets running properly on both (twin) cylinders, just where might this engine be capable of going?

Fascinating how he twins himself and promptly attempts to seduce his "better half".

"He looks like the gay jesus" comments a listener. Which indeed he does - Jesus, seducing Thomas. Here's a hot twin on twin pic, dining on tail. Via Roids and Rants.

Asherah's Needle

I've been taking another look at Seattle's famous obelisk, the Space Needle, seeking to unlock a few secrets. The monument combines the ancient with the futuristic in a remarkably elegant way, my hometown "ancient astronaut". The pillar (representing the Divine Masculine) it topped with a saucer, which I take to represent the Divine Feminine. It is also "crowned with the sun", so plenty of solar symbolism going around. This concept reminds me of the banners exhibited at John McCain's bizarre 2008 concession ritual in Phoenix - which featured golden pillars topped with a five pointed star - Venus. See Black Gold II.

To underline the point, check out this amazing 2007 Chrysler image: "Get Ready for the Next 100 Years". These are Asherah poles, all dedicated to the Babylonian (or Catholic!?) Queen of Heaven.

Always the focus of the city's New Years Eve bacchanal (a symbol of renewal, rebirth), the needle is, according to Matthew Delooze, an energy transmitter - sending worship energy into the lower fourth dimension for the dining pleasure of certain vampire-like non corporeal entities. Fittingly, the Needle includes an elite (very expensive) restaurant on top, and a larger, lower priced venue below, for the "porch brethren". As above, so below.

The Needle was the tallest building in Seattle from 1962 (the Century 21 World's Fair, for which it was built) to 1968, when the black box of 1001 4th Avenue Plaza eclipsed it. This 50 story building (originally the SeaFirst Building - maritime ping) was quickly dubbed "The box the Space Needle came in". Note the Venusian "5".

Loren Colman's recent post about Cleopatra's Needle struck a chord. The "needle" was an ancient Egyptian obelisk brought to England in 1877 encased in an iron cylinder dubbed "Cleopatra" by it's Masonic builders. Which would make it the "box" the needle "came" in. No double entendres here. Apparently, the voyage from Egypt to England was the 'voyage of the damned' - 6 men drowned in a storm in the Bay of Biscay when the Cleopatra broke loose. The obelisk did not sink, amazing considering it was encased in iron (an iron maiden?), and was eventually towed to London.

There are actually four ancient Egyptian Needles. One in London, with it's twin in New York City (something about that "unbreakable bond?"), and one in Paris, while its twin remains in Egypt.

The "needle" represents the disembodied penis of Osiris, and Cleopatra/the Seafirst building represents Isis. But let's take it one step further. In Bram Stoker's Dracula (1897), the vampire makes a long sea voyage from Transylvania to England aboard the Demeter, encased in a BOX filled with earth. (Dracula's planned travel destination was to be among the "teeming millions") This was also a voyage of the damned, with not one of the crew surviving the voyage.

Demeter is another "earth mother" goddess, the equivalent of the Roman Ceres. The 1988 Disney television movie Earth*Star Voyager features a vessel on a voyage to a planet called Demeter. I remember watching this little gem as a teenager, and strangely enough, Disney has steadfastly refused to release it to DVD or modern consumption. Perhaps it was a bit TOO forthcoming?

The voyage of Dracula from near death in Transylvania to youthful vigor in London represents the voyage of Osiris from the Underworld back to life - represented by London and her "teeming millions", AKA Earth/Demeter. Bram Stoker was sure to include the name Hawkins (Horus) in his mythos, and curious that Abraham Van Helsing is Dutch (Netherlands meaning Underworld) who is the one who sends Dracula/Osiris BACK to Hades.

Perhaps, the "blood" that Osiris requires for his rebirth is not literal blood, but the blood of worship - the unconscious worship energy of billions via his symbol of the disembodied penis - the Needle. And maybe, this energy is somehow stored INSIDE the atomic structure of masonry (the sword in the stone) - a spiritual "battery" or "storehouse".

According to the Athenian rhetorician Isocrates, the greatest gifts which Demeter gave were cereal (also known as corn in modern Britain), which made man different from wild animals; and the Mysteries which give man higher hopes in this life and the afterlife. --wikipedia

Raining Cats and Dogs

Yesterday was another day of driving rain, but we escaped the house to visit a local Borders Books and enjoy a cup of Joe. I picked up the January 2009 SAIL magazine, which included a SPECIAL CATAMARAN SECTION - and the warlike heading "Cat vs. Mono", but what drew me was this article about catamaran racing in Antigua:

"Scorching past the Pillars of Hercules outside English Harbor".

Two Catamarans (representing the twin guardians of the Holy Grail) racing (and creating a sweet HH) by the twin towers of Hercules? The name of the brand is "Gunboat", an odd name for a performance cruising yacht.

Gunboat is owned by the Newport, RHODE Island Johnstones, one of the "first families" of sailing. They've been building sailboats for decades, with their first success being the J/24 - a small racer/cruiser. The 24 spawned an an entire range of J/Boats, and the Gunboats are their entry into the catamaran market. Gunboats are designed by the famous design firm of Morelli & Melvin (MM) who, curiously, also designed the titanic racing catamaran PlayStation for the late adventurer Steve Fossett. Melvin is also the name of the Toxic Avenger.

Antigua means "ancient" in Spanish and was named by Christopher Columbus after a church in Spain, Santa Maria La Antigua — St. Mary the Ancient. It is also known as Wadadli, from the original Amerindian inhabitants, and means approximately "our own". --wikipedia

I've been mulling over the dream about finding the Pillars of Hercules, and the themes of "defender" and "destroyer" that have risen so strongly, via Helios the Defender of Rhodes (see In the Shadow of Giants), and Shiva's Trident.

To recap: The statue of Helios was 33m tall, the same as Isis (Liberty) in NYC. Helios was the Defender of Rhodes, which was described by the Rhodesian islanders as the land of the free and home of the brave, to roughly paraphrase. They might simply have called the island "our own". Lady Liberty is Isis, AKA the Divine Feminine or the Grail. She's the Symbol of New Zion (Manhattan), who was guarded by the Twin Towers - which are a twin male concretization of Shiva the Destroyer and his/her ultimate weapon of destruction - the Trident.

Last year I flew to NYC for the funeral of my domestic partner's father, and I recalled the experience of flying to New Zion as being like "three comets streaking east", because we flew in a formation of three airplanes - leaving a brilliant triple wake of condensation trails. Three missiles... of potential destruction, and I remember that 911 was characterized by three missiles - two aimed at the Twin Defenders and one more for the Pentagon - another symbol for Isis, Venus, the Divine Feminine.

On Christmas day, I receive an Xmas card from some friends who had just adopted a new German Shepherd they named Shiva. Within hours I am attacked by a German Shepherd in full on "destroyer/defender/Shiva mode. I am unhurt, as are all my charges (shaken, not stirred).

On Jan. 2 I'm browsing Hulu and decide to watch The Toxic Avenger, in which I find some synchage with Shiva and the Id (see I Heart the Monster). It draws an unusual "attack" in the comments from the usually friendly Moon (friendly fire?) and I "defend" in due course. A "small moon" is the ultimate , Shiva-like weapon of the Star Wars universe, and curiously, Rev. Moon is from Korea, which is rebuilding it's own Tower of Babel (along with everyone else) as noted in the recent post: The Culture is Returning. The Secret Sun sweetens the pot with a recent reference to The Lathe of Heaven, which happens to feature an alien invasion... from the moon.

On 1/1/09, I joined a nearby gym called "Ironworks Gym" in Bellevue. Synching with the tin man, Ironman, the Man of Steel, Citizen Steel, all... defenders. As I was writing my check, I realized I was writing 911 backwards, and the strangest idea came to me:

The twin towers... are being rebuilt?

Archetypes never die, they just get a new Peter built.

The Bucks Top Here

Ben Fairhall posted this interesting pic of twin white stags at the Daily Behemoth, which has since gone missing. White stags have some kind of English symbolism attached to them (of which I remain oblivious), but to me they're simply beautiful masculine icons.

Here's a pic from the latest gay porn brand: Stag Homme, the child of my golden jockstrapped muse Francesco D'Macho and his latest BF: Damien Crosse (is that possibly the most Hollywood antichrist name ever devised?).

Just so we don't forget what branding means:

We also have a stag at home, because Var brought home the CUTEST stag centerpiece for the dining table last month. It's a terra cotta figurine of some masculine deer-like figure, though by inspection of the underside, it's apparent the deer is a doe, or perhaps a eunuch? Anyway, the stag's name is ALFREDO. Varen is big on names, and thus we have names for various plants around the house, as well as terra cotta figurines. Aelfraed is "elf counsel". He's also Batman's faithful butler.

As luck would have it, we had pasta with ALFREDO SAUCE a few days ago, which gave me pause, but then I dove in with bon gusto!

The King of Hearts

And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. --Genesis 4:1-2

My honey has been watching reruns of the 80's megahit - Dynasty. The show was hugely popular nation wide, but it went NOVA in the gay community, with Dynasty parties popping up everywhere, and bars even naming Wednesday 'Dynasty Night'. The reason was Steven Carrington (Al Corley), the first sympathetic and "out" gay character in TV Land.

Steven was the male heir of oil tycoon Blake Carrington (John Forsythe) and his first wife, Alexis (Joan Collins). In the first season, Blake "accidentally" kills Steven's lover, and is put on trial for murder. The surprise witness is his first wife - Alexis, who rides in on her broom to spread enmity wherever she goes.

During the trial, Blake refuses to allow his lawyer to cross-examine Alexis, which leads to him being found guilty. Alexis has a secret that she uses to blackmail Blake, one he even goes to jail to keep. Her secret is that Blake's other child - Fallon - is not actually his. Even worse, the father is his business competitor, Cecil Colby.

We have the mother of two children and two fathers - and suddenly we are back in the Garden. Eve was the mother of both Cain and Abel, and rumors about Cain's true parentage persist. A Dynasty is ALL about inheritance, and we can read the biblical record as a great struggle between sons/families for the inheritance of the Father. Cain vs. Abel, Isaac vs. Ishmael, Esau vs. Jacob, Gentiles vs. Jews. Jesus gives us the Parable of the Prodigal Son.

Joan Collins also played the Eve archetype as Edith Keeler in Star Trek's The City on the Edge of Forever. She had two suiters - McCoy playing Adam and Kirk playing the serpent. See Edith Keeler Must Die. I closed with the interesting comparison of Edith to Diana Spencer - both victims of an automobile "accident". Diana is conflated with Eve. Diana had two sons - William and Harry. Will is certainly his father's son, but rumors about Harry's true father persist. Even at the very heart of the Dragon Throne...

Star Trek's Deanna Troi (of Troy) was also torn between two lovers - William Thomas Riker and Worf (Woof - Sirius resonator), the Klingon. This gets very close to the Nephilim taking wives from the daughters of men, and theories of competitive alien intervention/genetic manipulation. Curiously, Deanna is played by MARINA Sirtis.

Linda Evans (Krystle), the second clone fembot of John Derek spent time with Lemurian/Nephilim channeler J. Z. (Judy Zebra) Knight on her ranch in Yelm, Washington State.

Bringing it all a little too close to home, my partner is the gay son of Jack the NY Jew diamond cutter (recently deceased) and Emelia, his Gentile wife (deceased long ago - cancer). V is the youngest son and recently, rumors about the parentage of the eldest son have come to light. His father may not actually be Jack, but Jack's business partner and close friend! If so, Var would receive the inheritance.

To make it even synchier, Jack's third wife often called herself Krystle - sensing the similarity in their stories. The fractal nature of archetypes... repeating.

Jack married Emelia in a double wedding on Valentine's day, an amazing synch, because V and I also met on Valentine's Day, and we hold that as our anniversary. According to Wikipedia, the Catholic church can't actually pinpoint which St. Valentine the day is named after, and one begins to suspect that Valentine is simply Catholic spin for a much older Pagan holiday - the Feast Day of Cupid, or EROS.

Eros (Greek: Ἔρως), in Greek mythology, was the primordial god of lust, love, and intercourse; he was also worshipped as a fertility deity. His Roman counterpart was Cupid.

According to tradition which was made by Eratosthenes, Eros was principally the patron of male love, while Aphrodite ruled the love between men and women. His statue could be found in the palaestrae or wrestling schools, one of the principal venues for men to associate with their beloveds, and it was to him that the Spartans sacrificed before battle.

Meleager records this role in a poem preserved in the Greek Anthology: "a woman, hurls the fire that maddens men for women; but Eros himself sways the passion for males."

If ever there was a gay God, it would be Eros. In early Greek thought, he is a primeval deity who embodies not only the force of erotic love but also the creative urge of ever-flowing nature, the firstborn Light for the coming into being and ordering of all things in the cosmos.

He sounds a bit like Min, and thus Yahweh. Later on, he became the son of Aphrodite - Venus to the Romans, AKA The Morning Star. The symbols of Cupid are the heart and the bow (Bow Ties anyone?). Diana is the huntress, and Princess Di was called the "Queen of Hearts". To make it all even crazier, Jesus calls HIMSELF the bright Morning Star in Revelations.

London's Picadilly Circus is home to the Shaftsbury (got it, thanks) Memorial - a likeness of Anteros - the twin brother of Eros.

The brother/lover of Eros was Anteros: the god of requited love, literally "love returned," and also the punisher of those who scorn love and the advances of others, or the AVENGER of unrequited love. Physically, he is depicted as similar to Eros in every way (his twin), but with long hair and butterfly wings.

Motivated by vengeance?
