The Lord of the Dance

Google books Cruising World 1982, Pg. 144. Tanzer 10.5 is the Answer!

I ran across this odd 144 sailing sync back on 11/28/15 and I must have been in a highly suggestible mood because it’s stuck with me.

Tanzer: German for dancer. Dancer is the answer!

I’ve never been much of a dancer, though I eventually learned how to NOT dance like a straight guy (feet planted like a tree, arm and shoulder motions only) at the gay disco. I’ve tried two-stepping and line dancing at gay western dance bars, but lets just say I won’t be dancing with the stars anytime soon.

I got my hair cut today by Sean at 12:15. He was unusually animated and chatty about this and that. He began by talking about a friend he used to cut hair with, and how she would stand with arms extended and toes pointed out, like a ballet dancer (Sean demonstrates).

Next he goes on about his Friday evening with his girlfriend/roommate (?) who insisted he accompany her out to the Roadhouse for some dancing. However it turned out she didn’t do any dancing, but he did, and he had a good time. He left at closing but she remained and she later turned her ankle or something, but according to Sean, it wasn’t from dancing!

Next, Sean and I were reminiscing about gay Seattle in the 80’s, and he told me that he was once a go-go boy at Neighbors. “Speaker dancing?” I asked. He nodded.

As Sean was finishing up, a woman called out to Sean from the hall and said “We sold our sailboat!” and I had to ask, what kind of sailboat was it?

“A Tanzer 23”.

… Connecting some dots …

I am reminded that Shiva dances the world into being.

Nataraja (Tamil: "நடராசர்" or Kooththan கூத்தன், The Lord (or King) of Dance), is a depiction of the Hindu God Shiva as the cosmic dancer who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for the god Brahma to start the process of creation.

What about a dancing speaker?

Operation Sync Overload

Recalling "Storming the Bridge", Hitler/Jesus crossed the rainbow bridge on the "Hunter's moon" lunar eclipse of 10/18, perhaps utilizing the extended global build up of fear and sudden emotional release caused by the near US national bankruptcy on 10/17 as a sort of psychic rocket (a V3, no doubt) to travel between dimensions.

These insights are due to a recognition of the "mirroring" or "reflective" nature of consciousness - what you see is what you get. WYSIWYG, writ large.

This suggests that Carl Sagan was correct in his depiction of Adolph Hitler as First Contactee via the efforts of SETI.

I have an unusual interest in the life and times of Adolph Hitler lately. As noted in Think Classical in Music and Personality Types Part II:
The creepy thing is that the more I seemed to get to know the man, certain aspects of his personality reminded me increasingly of myself. I felt eerily linked to Hitler like Harry Potter to Lord Voldemort. ~Sator Arepo
It goes a lot deeper than mere interest - there are odd personal syncs that abound, consider my early "creation" of the HH, or 88 sync at gosporn (The Double H Ranch), which of course, is another Heil Hitler. The most recent is a series of events on Saturday, 10/26/13:

I walk down the hill to Point Hudson almost every day. Yesterday, I saw a warship sitting directly offshore of Port Townsend, holding its position in the channel. I walked down to the little road by the beach, and I saw a fellow leaning on his Subaru, using his spyglass to examine the vessel. He was a long-time resident of PT and told me that it was very unusual to see a navy ship sitting directly in front. All we could tell was that it had a big 60 on the bow, and it appeared that there was a company of sailors on the foredeck, standing in formation. He thought the boat might be an Aegis guided missile destroyer, but didn't really know. We got to talking, and he shared that he'd seen a Trident class nuclear sub from the air (and let us not forget that Shiva is called the Destroyer and his weapon is the trident), and then the oddest thing: that is father had a friend who was ex-CIA, who had been shot out of a torpedo tube, and was suffering health problems because it didn't go as planned. I thought to myself, this is too good, what else is he going to say?
"He was full of great stories, but you could never ask any details, you know. One of my favorites was when he was stationed in Berlin, before unification, and he was having breakfast with his KGB counterpart. The Soviet agent told him that the next day, they were sealing Hitler's bunker, and he was invited to witness it, if he wanted."

The sealing of the tomb. Fuck.

So of course, the minute I got home I googled for Naval vessels numbered 60, and there were no modern Destroyers that fit the number and the design, the step in the sheer just aft of the bow was unlike any Destroyer. But it could be a Ticonderoga class Cruiser.

USS Normandy is number 60, which is named after the Battle of Normandy, D-Day, code named Operation Overlord.

I dunno. It just feels like... the great reversal/inversion/reflection. The invasion is imminent.

I am reminded that the great turning point of the Nazi regime was called Crystallnacht - "the night of broken glass" which began on 11/9. Note that 11/9 is an inversion of 9/11.

On St. Valentine's Day, 2013, the Chelyabinsk Meteor burst over Russia (Hitler's sworn enemy was Bolshevik Soviet Union).
The object was undetected before its atmospheric entry and its explosion created considerable confusion among local residents. About 1,500 people were injured seriously enough to seek medical treatment. All of the injuries were due to indirect effects rather than the meteor itself, mainly from broken glass from windows that were blown in when the shock wave arrived, minutes after the superbolide's flash.
I will be paying particular attention to events surrounding the upcoming 75th anniversary of Crystallnacht.

NOTES:

Subaru uses the "seven sisters" of the Pleiades in its logo. They are associated with Artemis - the Hunter.

In the America's Cup trials in San Francisco, Andrew "Bart" Simpson, was killed on May 9, during a capsize of the Swedish Artemis racing yacht.

BART is an acronym of Bay Area Mass Transit.

Bart Simpson is the alter-ego of comic artist Matt Groenig, creator of Life in Hell.

Ticonderoga is a town in Essex County, New York, USA. The name comes from the Mohawk tekontaró:ken, meaning "it is at the junction of two waterways".

Jiminy Crickets!

Tonight is the "[Dark] Night of Shiva" One night before the New Moon.

If the New Moon is the start of a new creation, then the night before, that dark night, is that inward breath, the time immediately prior to creation.

Copulation, insemination. Tonight, the seeds of subconscious desire are planted into fertile ground - the veil is thin.

Tonight might be a particularly good night to wish upon a STARR.

The Number of the Counting

As we all know, I have more than a passing interest in the trident, that triple-pronged, magical weapon of Shiva and Poseidon. And I wonder, why THREE prongs? They say three times the charm, and it made me think of the number 3 and time being somehow connected?

I see that we live in a 3D universe, the first dimension being a point, the second a plane, and the third a cubic volume. So it seems to me that Shiva's "weapon" is aimed at these three dimensions, or "citadels" as it were.

Antahkarana

The fourth dimension is time, and perhaps this element is represented by the shaft of the trident, wielded by "will" or intention.

In All Good Things, the final episode of STNG, Captain Jean Luc Picard is shifting back and forth in time between three time periods, and in each time he causes a tachyon beam to be emitted from the Enterprise, aimed at the same point in space. This causes an anomaly that destroys the world, but if you look at it from a magical perspective, this is exactly the magician's goal - to "destroy" his current world and "create" a new one.

So, I think about my intent, or will, or shaft, being aimed at the same point in space, at three different times. It's Saturnian judo.

The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.
...And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O LORD, bless this Thy hand grenade that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits, in Thy mercy."
And the LORD did grin and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats and large chu... [At this point, the friar is urged by Brother Maynard to "skip a bit, brother"]...
And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less.
Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three.
Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three.
Five is right out.
Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it."

Drive By Web Shot

Italian convertibles are called "spyders"
This sharp black Ferrari 308 drove by a few weeks ago in downtown Kirkland, I barely had time to shoot the pic and when I downloaded it I saw all these arrows pointing at it!? I took this rather seriously, since Magnum P.I. drove a Ferrari 308 - a challenge to my sync detective abilities. Suddenly it was all about threes and eights.

Spidey senses tingling...
Then I saw this three wheeled contraption with a spider logo on the front. Hmmm.... eight, spiders - the weavers of webs (this is what we call a sync 2x4). That's when I saw a kid with a web tattoo on his face? so of course I think of the web slinger, Arachne's brother.

Web slingers never clean up their mess.
And then I was walking by the playground at Grass Lawn Park (above) And I began to see the web laid all over everything.

Plaid lads from Superversity
3D model images from Modo.com
The matrix of our reality can be visualized as a web-like grid of mathematical construction, much like a 3D model is really just a bunch of math and code. The web of inter-related lines graphically presents how inter-connected we all are, woven of the same stuff, and how pulling one thread can effect the entire blanket of our reality.

I was doing some WEB design today, using an HTML editor called Dreamweaver. This makes rather obvious sense - the web of conscious experience is woven by the subconscious mind. I like to think I'm a webmaster apprentice, perhaps I should start wearing plaid. Or maybe not.

I was stumped on the 3. It can mean so many things from the holy trinity to the points that define a triangle or represent a pyramid. But then I was at a funeral for D. Bow King last Wednesday and my folks talked about the cruise they all took on a giant trimaran. Trimaran = trident, at least on this blog.

I was on the ferry to the funeral (the underworld) and I saw this guy wearing a spiderman t-shirt in front of a guy reading a book in front of a guy wearing a Mariner's "trident" cap. The trident for sure! That triple pronged arrow of Shiva, Satan or Poseidon - all Lords of the subconscious.

Me, Myself and I
I see the man in the middle as my conscious self, reading. The man in the trident cap represents my subconscious reading along, just over my shoulder. He's creating the web of reality that I see projected in front of me. A Plato's Cave moment.

I was musing about the "horned hand", triple pronged sign of our web slinger, and how our favorite politicos share a similar signal - the sign of the weaver. Just because they weave, doesn't mean they have any skill. Any 3D computer modeler or spinner knows that it's important to keep the web as uniform as possible, warps and  wefts all neatly laid out. Who knows what kind of trouble a tangled web might bring?

Weaving spiders come not here.

The Lord of the Dance

The big story out of the Curiosity Mars landing was the NASA Mohawk guy, Bobak Ferdowsi. He cut his hair into a Mohawk for the landing, much like this little guy from Mars, and of course, the God Mars always wears a Mohawkish, helmet of war. It is curious that Horus is the Egyptian, hawk-headed God, and with the red and white striped background he is photographed against, it's hard not to recall the "Stairway to Sirius" aspect of all of this.

The Greek Gods are resonating strongly because of the London Olympics, and it's curious that in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Alan Moore calls London "New Troy". We note that what finally brought down Troy was the Trojan Horse - this may explain the London obsession with security cameras.

Last week, I pinged on the strange massacre of "Lion Kings" at the Sikh temple, and it's only getting stranger, because I realized that Captain Nemo was a Sikh. It is interesting that Bobak is from Oakland, and the Sikh temple is in Oak Creek. A helmet or "hat" theme develops.

The Verne character is, as Moore shows here, an Indian prince, a Sikh, driven to misanthropy by British injustice; he is not someone who looks like James Mason.

William Stoddard, among others, took issue with the idea that Nemo could be both Hindu and Sikh. However, Moore himself has stated flatly that Nemo is a Sikh, so the conclusion to be drawn, I think, is that Nemo is ethnically a Sikh and a Hindu by faith.

Santosh Menon adds the following: Actually it is kind of possible for Nemo to be a hindu and a sikh. Hindu families in punjab sometimes initiated the eldest son into the sikh faith; sihkism being a MARTIAL religion in some sense and sikhs being the defenders of the faith and the land - more or less. ~Notes on League of Extraordinary Gentlemen #1
True Confession time now. I made a sigil a week before the Synch cabin II in ID 'ho. I thought of it as a cross between the all seeing eye of consciousness and the all powering trident of the subconscious. Later, I realized it might be a primitive squid drawing, and later still, some wizards at sync cabin suggested it was a Martian tripod. Curiously, we were camping adjacent to "Tripod Mountain".

I was inspired by LOEG and their version of Nemo, who is "no man", or "nobody", which also happens to be the name chosen by Odysseus in his battle with Polyphemus. But the trident is much deeper than that - going all the way back to the all powerful weapon of Shiva, the Destroyer. We note that the symbol of the Sikh, if turned upside down, is a tripod with not one, but three eyes. Also, it reminded me of the logo for JC of Mars.
The steering wheel of the Nautilus, seen behind Nemo and Murray, is the god Siva, in his dancing form. Siva is the Hindu god of destruction and of the dance, and one of the three most important of the Hindu religion. It makes a certain amount of sense that Nemo, who is both warrior and philosopher/scholar, would worship Siva, who embodies those (and other) characteristics. Plus, as Moore pointed out in an interview, making the steering wheel of the Nautilus into a statue of the dancing Siva is good design sense; this is another deviation from the description of the Nautilus in the Verne novels, but one within the bounds of artistic license.

The Lord of the Dance
In writing the lyrics to "Lord Of The Dance" in 1963, Sydney CARTER was inspired partly by Jesus, but also partly by a statue of Shiva as Nataraja, and was partly intending simply to give tribute to Shaker music. He later stated, "I did not think the churches would like it at all. I thought many people would find it pretty far flown, probably heretical and anyway dubiously Christian. But in fact people did sing it and, unknown to me, it touched a chord ... Anyway, it's the sort of Christianity I believe in."
Me too, Syd. Me too. It's curious that the woman who climbed to the top of Sync Mountain was a dancer shod in golden sandals, named Maya. We also note that in Disney's epic alien invasion film "Chicken Little", the aliens had three eyes, and they came to earth in search of acorns, from which mighty oaks grow. They seem a tad angry.

As the Perseids meteor showers rain down upon us tonight, I wonder if they might carry the seed of a divine invasion - a Martial, or "Trojan Horse" entry, so to speak.

Curiosity Killed the Cat

Ever since I began hearing about Curiosity, the Mars Rover due to land tonight on the red planet, the phrase "curiosity killed the cat" has run through my head. Will Curiosity indeed kill the cat, and what exactly would that mean?

Here's Captain Kirk narrating the NASA propaganda piece that details the improbable sequence of events that must occur exactly right on time for the rover to make it onto the Martian surface intact. NASA is calling it "the seven minutes of terror." The ad right before the vid was an "I'm a Morman" ad, by the LDS.

I note that Mit Romney is now nicknamed "Mittens", an obvious cat reference. We also have the various Lion Kings (most prominently Prince William and Obama), and the return of Selina Kyle, "Cat Woman" in The Dark Knight Rises.

Mittens is a black and white "tuxedo" cat. Here he is with the bolt of lightning or 77 insignia of enlightenment over his head.

Another day, another mass shooting: this time, a lone gunman shot up a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, in what was no doubt at least 7 minutes of terror, 7 dead. This lone gunman suspect lived on Holmes Ave. and in yet another case of bad casting, the alleged gunman in the Aurora CO shooting is James Holmes (via The CopyCAT Effect). Holmes is the surname of the world's most famous detective, and Batman first appeared in the pages of Detective Comics. Here is Detective Mittens, the Crime Solving Cat:

One might guess we have a bit of sleuthing ahead of us, and I suspect this is but the tip of the iceberg.
"Most male Sikhs have Singh (lion) as their surname"

The big cats, such as the lion, tiger and leopard, have been used to signify religious and temporal authority since, well... forever. The Lion of Judah signifies the heirs of King David, while Shiva and Dionysus both wear the pelt of a leopard. King Arthur was the "Lion-Heart", and yes, even Pope Sidious can be seen posing with a lion cub. Consider it a symbol of might makes right, or right makes might.

Given the Star Trek tie-in of the NASA video, let us remember Kahn Noonian Singh and his race of genetic supermen that tried to take over the world - more than once.

That STOS episode was called Space Seed, and as I watch the Curiosity video I wondered if NASA isn't so much telling a story of what is about to happen on Mars, but rather, a story of what happened a long time ago, on earth. Same lion king, different clothes. That space seed left a bunch of heirs, or so they like to say.

If you note, the Sikhs have the balls to name all their sons "Lion Kings", not just one, but every single fucking one of them. That's a pretty radical idea when you think about it.

And as for all the women out there, sorry for the male chauvinism. We all know it's the lionesses who do all the hard work in the pride parade.

UPDATE: Pussy Riot. How could I miss that?

We note that Pussy Riot attacks the church, and Mittens is a "good Mormon".

Trident Test Drive

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. ~John 14:2

In my father's hotel there are many suites ~Paris Hilton
At the end of Black Dossier, book number three in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen saga, Alan Moore gives us a glimpse into The Blazing World:

"You know, I'm sure I used to DREAM about this place when I was a little girl."

"I know what you mean. I think I caught a glimpse of the Blazing World in a VISION once, during my opium years."
Moore cleverly uses the trope of printing this part of the two dimensional book in "3D", and requiring the characters to wear 3D glasses, as a metaphor for entering 4D space from our 3D world. Much like Victor Fleming used the change from sepia toned B&W to Technicolor when Dorothy enters Oz.

The Blazing World is the 4th dimension, and that extra dimension is time. We experience time like a two dimensional creature would experience the third dimension, that is, in a very limited way. Our five senses don't include a time sense that would allow us to experience time as naturally and as simply as we experience 3D space, but... I think we're growing that organ.

The other aspect of the Blazing World that is equally fascinating is that it holds all the archetypes from all the stories. It's the monomyth, our collective subconscious, the Id, Oz, Hades, Heaven, Hell, the Book of Life, The Never Ending Story, the Worst Movie Ever Made, the place with a thousand names. We've been calling Kubrick's Black Monolith the monomyth, which happens to resemble a black book, or a black hotel:

I've already booked a room.

Alan Moore (who is probably the reincarnation of Merlin Ambrosius) ends League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Century 1910 with a fascinating vignette, going all the way back to the dawn of human consciousness. In 'Bio of Thebes, Abyssinia, 1236 B.C: Love amongst the Troglodytes', he posits that the apes from 2001: A Space Odyssey bathed in a pool "filled with a blueness that was neither fire nor water", which made them immortal. (Sasquatch, anyone?)

I'm reading between the lines here, but I suspect that when the monomyth hits the ground, it makes a crater in 3D reality, which eventually fills with water. This water is infused with monomythic, 4D stuff, which imparts it's "essence" to anyone who bathes in it, which to us - the 3D entrapped - appears to be eternal life. This is the legend of the Fountain of Youth.

Bio also bathed in the 4D pool, he/she has lived on down through the ages. He changed his name to Roland in the Middle Ages, and after that he became Orlando. Orlando is in Florida, the very place where Ponce de Leon searched for the Fountain of Youth. And of course, Orlando also hosts the Magic Kingdom. Orlando Bloom (Florida means "flowery land") played an immortal elf, and Tony Orlando, he wrote a horrible song that inspired a zillion yellow ribbons.
Since Alan Moore is obsessed with trident symbolism, I began to think of the trident as a force from the fourth dimension, since it has three prongs, one for each of our three dimensions - a dimension that is trying to break through. I figure if the Trident is 4 sale, why not give it a test drive?

I've also been thinking about tattoo's lately, and the Levitical prohibition against it, along with eating shellfish and laying with men, and I figure since I'm already doing all of the above except the tattoo, what the hell. Must be some powerful shit. So I got out my black magic marker and drew a clumsy trident tattoo on my arm, that was on Wednesday. Also, Marky Mark got the mark of the trident in Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes.

"Why the arm?" you ask. Because the first man on the moon, the first man through door 237, was Neil Armstrong. He's Horus, the Moonchild. "The Eagle has landed". I wait all next day for some cool sign from the 4th dimension, but no such luck, until...

In the Black Dossier (which is yet another metaphor for the black monomyth) Mina drops something:

"Oh, that's a nuisance. Something's tucked inside have fallen out."

"Never mind. Probably nothing important."
Until I started to write about it and I picked up the Black Dossier to scan it, and this folded up piece of paper falls out. (paper folding, origami, is another metaphor for 4D space)

It's a receipt from an artist's supply store in Seattle from 6/29/11. By a certain Tim Schacht, who lives in Ohio. FYI, it's the Ohio class submarine that carries the trident ballistic missiles.

Next day, we see that Facebook has been taken down by Anonymous, who is resonating Odysseus, or Nobody, Nemo. I wrote this on May 25:
Polyphemus could mean a very famous person, or more likely, something that enables the concept of celebrity. Like the media, Hollywood, Youtube, or Facebook. Odysseus defeats Polyphemus by blinding him in his eye.

Trident For Sale, Make Offer - Update

I'm still working my way through 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'. Apparently everything we are currently experiencing is contained in one of Alan Moore's books. LOEG 'Century: 1910' has two main themes - an occult ritual to create a Crowley-like "Moonchild", and the death/rebirth of Captain Nemo.

Since Crowley initiated the Aeon of Horus by declaring it, this Moonchild is, no doubt, none other than Horus himself. The son of the sun and the moon, spirit and matter, Osiris and Isis. This Moonchild may or may not be the antichrist. I saw the recent annular eclipse as a heavenly metaphor for just such a birth or union, which this cool video equates to the return of Quetzalcoatl - the feathered serpent.

Today we have the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket powered, Dragon 'capsule' docking with ISS, or Isis, quite literally, a feathered serpent!

Docked! The ISS and the Dragon capsule are now as one, following the historic docking.

Holy Fuck? "Docking" is also a homosexual act. Cute, eh?

So, that's the Moonchild, what about Nemo?

Last week, Var and I came across this Maserati for sale, "make offer", on the side of the road as if it was an old Datsun pick up. Maserati, by virtue of choosing the trident for their logo, has always been a powerful sync generator for me. The Trident is the weapon of Poseidon, Hades, Shiva, and... Captain Nemo.
This trident belongs not to the devil, however, but one who is sometimes mistaken for him: Shiva, the Divine Bowman. Its spinning arms are the three cities of Tripura- in the words of author Heinrich Zimmer, 'the amalgamated demon-citadel of the world', wrought from iron, silver and gold on the three great planes of earth, sky and heaven. Three great cities in constant rotation; so designed to cheat the prophecy that they- and the Empire they nourish- must one day fall prey to a single bolt from Shiva's bow; a feat that can be accomplished only when the moon floats into a certain rare orbit, and all three rotating cities are conjunct.
~Ben Fairhall
Made me think that the Nautilus was looking for a new captain, or something. For Sale, the Underworld. Make offer. Curiously, we had a fire aboard a nuclear sub in Portsmouth this week.

In Century 1910, Captain Nemo is dying, and he wants an inheritor, but no one will take it. His only daughter, Janni, wants nothing to do with his fanatic vendetta, but he persists.

This drives her away from "Lincoln Island" and onto the seedy docks of London (the world of samsara), where she finds employ in a sailor's inn and bar named the Cuttlefish, and is shortly, brutally, gang raped.

Her "initiation" into the "old boy's club" quickly ignites the fire of vengeance within her. She takes command of the trident armed Nautilus and lays waste to the London docks.

"You know, Ishmael, she's as bad as her old man.
Ha ha!, I'll tell you what, Jack... she's worse.
Ain't it bleedin' wonderful?"

I suspect the next Nemo/Shiva will be feminine in nature. She's got a lot to be really pissed off about.

Nemo is latin for "nobody" first used by Odysseus in his battle against the giant cyclopes Polyphemus: "much spoken of", or "famous".
When Polyphemus asks for Odysseus' name, promising him a guest-gift if he answers, Odysseus tells him "μή τις," literally "nobody." (which, when combined, as in speech also meant "cunning" - "μήτις," and is thus, a play on words.)

Polyphemus could mean a very famous person, or more likely, something that enables the concept of celebrity. Like the media, Hollywood, Youtube, or Facebook. Odysseus defeats Polyphemus by blinding him in his eye.

Nobody / Nemo / Anonymous

The question mark is the sign of Anon, the trident is the sign of Nemo. Perhaps one and the same thing? Who is Nobody?

As Mr. Moore points out, London is New Troy. And we all know how the old Troy turned out. No wonder London is so full of surveillance cameras. Not letting a trojan horse in this time! We shall see.

Update: Much sync has already been mined by the uncanny triple-pointed architectural motif of the World Trade Towers, "the buildings that were built in order to be destroyed".

For some reason, a reason for which I can only thank the gods, the Maserati automobile company has begun investing in yacht racing, which is big publicity (big Polyphemus) in Europe. This places the trident symbol in its proper place, the bow of a ship, or monster from the deep. Polyphemus draws the photographers, and they captured an arresting shot of the Nautilus stealthily emerging in a quiet harbor of NYC, with the trident of Nemo aiming directly at the "unfinished pyramid" of  One World Trade Center!

We note that in this lucky perspective, the trident must pass directly through the Winter Garden:

...and look, the masthead of the Nautilus. A red cross is illuminated.

Alan Moore's favorite symbol for The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is a woman bearing the shield of the red X or cross, and a Trojan inspired helmet that is actually a question mark. I meditate upon this image.
