Finn Again

Can't you feel 'em circlin', honey
Can't you feel 'em swimmin' around
You got fins to the left, fins to the right
And you're the only bait in town

Varen is in the habit of naming all our plants in the garden (like Adam). He named a huckleberry after my dad. It was a cutting he took from the grounds of my family beach cabin at Hood Canal - the place was covered with huckleberry bushes. The property was sold shortly after his death, and as we drove away for the last time, Varen impulsively demanded that I pull over, and he ran back to get the scion.

He stuck it in a pot for a few years and then in the ground here in PT, and this spring it finally began to show a bit of new growth. New shoots are “scions” of the old, and I am the scion of my father. Even though Varen named the huckleberry bush “Vern”, it is really me.

He was talking about the huckleberry tonight, and said: “Instead of Huckleberry Finn we have Huckleberry Vern”.

“Finn”, is code for “runaway slave”. It’s from The Golden Bough, and it’s a trifle esoteric and I’ll just assume you already know more about it than I do if you’re reading my incredibly obscure blog, but the most recent popular example is the character Finn from Star Wars, The Force Awakens. James Joyce alludes to it in the title of Finnegans Wake, or “Finn Again”. A repeating archetype.

Oddly enough, a promo email from Class Comics arrived today, promoting the new Mako Finn #2 homoerotic comic now available. Mako has a fin on his dick, and he’s named after a shark, because somewhat like Aquaman, he is the protector of life in the oceans, and he has telepathic communication with sharks.

But the really odd sync is how I bought an old sailboat. A Ranger 20, and now there are apparently five Rangers in the very small town of Port Townsend, and I’ve been hearing about one with a shark’s mouth painted on the bow, and today I finally saw that boat, parked on the side of the road. The Shark Finn is circling… must be blood in the water.

The Bridge of the Gods

See Storming the Bridge and Operation Sync Overload to get up to date with sync connections between the Ponte Vecchio bridge, bankruptcy and the return of an archetype I am calling Hitler/Jesus.

The other sync attractor in my personal universe is “Morning Star”. Because my bankruptcy was handled by a last minute substitute lawyer named Tom Morningstar. This all taking place at the Gateway Center in Bremerton. The bullet list:
  • The economic concept of bankruptcy originated at the Ponte Veccio: when a money-changer could not pay his debts, the table on which he sold his wares (the "banco") was physically broken ("rotto") by soldiers, and this practice was called "bancorotto" (broken table).
  • On Aug 4, 1944, the Germans did not destroy the Ponte Veccio on their retreat from Italy, allegedly by express order from Hitler.
  • Sync logic suggests that “Hitler” will return over the same bridge he retreated on, the one bridge left standing.
  • Bankruptcy is the event.
  • The Morning Star is the sign.

On 9/9 I was at Kitsap Bank when the teller told me that the Hood Canal Bridge was “broken” and no vehicle traffic could cross. This is a big deal to Port Townsend, so economically dependent on that bridge. A curious broken bridge and bank sync.

This was also interesting because I was reading Captain America Operation Rebirth and the chapter I read the night before featured a heli-carrier that nearly crashes into Mt. Hood.

The Timberline Lodge at Oregon’s Mt. Hood being the exterior location of Stanley Kubrick’s Overlook Hotel in The Shining. The Overlook being a symbolic stand-in for the United States - much like Captain America.

I finish my business at the bank and then ride into town to check out the harbor at Point Hudson, and any new boats that have arrived. Yes indeed, a new boat named the MORNING STAR had just tied to the dock. And curiouser still, the Israeli Defense Force was on duty.

NOTES:

Beau Bridges is the celebrity guest of honor at the 2015 Port Townsend Film Festival.
Bridge of Spies opens 10/16.
Both Hood Canal and Mt. Hood are named after the same Lord Samuel Hood. The wikipedia entry is interesting, the native myth echoing the Trojan War:
In another telling, Wy'east (Hood) battles Pahto (Adams) for the fair La-wa-la-clough (St. Helens). Or again Wy'east, the chief of the Multnomah tribe, competed with the chief of the Klickitat tribe. Their great anger led to their transformation into volcanoes. Their battle is said to have destroyed the Bridge of the Gods.

The Trident Thief

I’m sure we all remember the notorious Sealab 2021 Episode 39, where the crew joins the underwater secret society of the "Neptunati", who are locked in an eternal struggle with their sworn enemies, the “Five Jew Bankers”. Derek "Stormy" Waters carries the trident of Neptune, bangs it on the ground and gives himself size triple D breasts.

No? Well, remember that plot, and those crazy blue buffalo hats. I visited the Naval Undersea Museum last week, near Silverdale on Hwy 308. Yes, the Navy actually has a museum full of submarines and torpedoes, even an exhibit about the real-life Sealab! Neptune is our guide, and his trident motif is everywhere. No doubt this is partly because nearby Bangor sub base is full of Ohio class submarines, carrying Trident ballistic missiles. I suppose a cartoon Neptune makes nuclear inter-continental ballistic missiles a little less terrifying.

The docent pointed out the DSRV (Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle) sub sitting out in the parking lot, named DSRV-1 Mystic, which was the same submarine depicted in The Hunt For Red October, by Tom Clancy. I thought it was amusing that he kept saying “DRSV” instead of DSRV and he would catch himself and apologize. This syncs very strongly with that aspect of the subconscious being a mirror image of consciousness.

The museum has a new exhibit about the loss of the USS Thresher:
The USS Thresher (SSN-593) was the lead boat of her class of nuclear-powered attack submarines in the United States Navy. Her loss at sea in the North Atlantic during deep-diving tests approximately 220 miles east of Boston, Massachusetts, on 10 April 1963 was a watershed event for the U.S. Navy.
On 9 April 1963 Thresher, now commanded by Lieutenant Commander John Wesley Harvey, got underway from Portsmouth at 8 am and rendezvoused with the submarine rescue ship Skylark at 11 am…

OK, I’m researching the subconscious, submarines and tridents and there is my SKYLARK Illuminati call sign right there in the middle. Neptunati indeed.

Anyway, I had to watch The Hunt For Red October, given that the Docent mentioned it. Starring Sean Connery as the defecting Soviet Typhoon class submarine captain, and Alec Baldwin as CIA analyst Jack Ryan. It’s a pretty good film as far as cold war propaganda films go, and director John McTiernan even manages to make underwater submarine warfare exciting. But for some reason all I could think about was playing this plot in reverse, with some modern American Trident sub captain driving his underwater earthshaker over to Russia as a gift to Putin, or better yet, to Tehran! Imagine the mischief.

Even though I’ve personally been following trident symbolism for years, Last year was a bonus crop. It began when trident resonating Maserati paid for a Superbowl ad with the slogan “Now we strike!”, and shortly thereafter, trident emblemed Ukraine found itself at the center of a conflict that could have escalated into WWIII. It still could. It is curious that what is now called Ukraine is the former homeland of Ashkenazi Jews.

This morning I got an invitation to join Club MegaPecs. I am assuming that Derek Waters is the Grand Master of THIS secret society.

But the real kicker is that yesterday, Var brought home some Blue Buffalo Co. dog food. This would seem to be the real power of the trident: impossible syncs.

Mary Time Training

I’ve been immersed in the sea this week, thanks to Doug asking me to chat about the chapter on Atlantis in The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manley P. Hall on 42 Minutes. At Gosporn, any “city beneath the sea” lies in the realm of the subconscious. Also known as Dreamland, Oz, Pellucidar, the Id and a million other names, it’s the place from which our imagination springs, and eventually, our reality.

Mare is latin for sea, and still used as the root in words like Mariner, Marina, Marinara Sauce. The “sea” of the subconscious is personified in the name Mary - the Mother of God.

So it was with particular interest that I noticed a handsome vessel named Maritime Training steam up while I was hanging out on the waterfront this week. And then… same day, I get an email from somebody named “Trainer” who had taken some pics of a boat named Proud Mary.

Mary Time Training?

The personal joke is that I used to work for a boat building company that called itself US Marine Corp. When traveling, the car rental places would always offer us the military discount.

Shark Week

Hey all, just a quick gulp of air and then Ahab is going down for another stab at the whale. I've been hanging out in the octopus' garden for a while now, plumbing the depths of the subconscious.

It sorta all started when the mysterious seals began showing up on the raft in front of my mom's cabin on Hood Canal. They've never done that before, I began to think of them as my "Seal Team" - the surfacing of my subconscious into real life.

Have you seen American Warships? It's the shitty Netflix version of Battleship, yet another alien invasion story, except this time the aliens command stealth submarines that take out the mighty U.S. Navy. On a sync level it makes perfect sense, the aliens are "monsters from the Id", "hiding" in the subconscious. In American Warship, the brave Seal Team discovers the secret of the submarine's "alien" origins.

I watched Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea last week, with Captain Nemo (no one, no ego) playing the part of the avenging subconscious - the "sea monster". He rams the American warship "Abraham Lincoln". I figured that was a fairly blatant King Kill 33 sync. Nemo sank my ego!

Later, we see that Nemo's secret base is built under mysterious Lincoln Island, or in other words, a murdered president is the secret base of Captain Nemo, or in other words, a murdered ego is the secret base of the Id!

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson stars in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, which I like because A) I could watch his pecs bounce all day and B) he was also Mathayus (the Scorpion King) in The Mummy Returns.

As we all know by now, Osiris is the god of the sun, who is murdered by Set (sunset), but who then rises again in the form of Horus - the rising sun/son. Like a physical representation of resurrection, the pyramids represent a "mysterious island" of consciousness, rising above the chaotic sands of the subconscious desert.
After nine days, I let the horse run free,
'Cause the desert had turned to sea.
There were plants and birds, and rocks and things,
There was sand and hills and rings.
The ocean is a desert, with its life underground,
And a perfect disguise above.
Under the cities lies, a heart made of ground,
But the humans will give no love.
"The desert is an ocean with its life underground"
A Horse With No Name ~America

A horse with Nemo.
Back to the pyramids, I decided to watch my favorite Bond film last week: The Spy Who Loved Me. It features pyramids, submarines, Atlantis, Major Triple X and a murderer named "Jaws". We first meet Jaws on the plains of Giza and it's fairly obvious that he is the reincarnation of some dark Egyptian deity.

In the myth of Kamalo and the shark god, Kauhuhu plays the part of the subconscious avenger. As it happens, my copy of Mako Finn arrived a few days ago, and he's a sort of comic book homoerotic protector and avenger of sharks. He comes upon a reincarnated Megalodon. While the scientific name is C. megalodon, it is often informally dubbed the "megatooth shark", "giant white shark" or "monster shark".

Mr. Big Tooth
Megalodon - pointing at...
Now, hmmm. What does this giant, triangular tooth remind me of? Maybe a pyramid, or more precisely, the lost, or broken, cap.

Jake, the Martian fragment
Jules Verne's Mysterious Island was in part inspired by the Swiss Family Robinson, who are "castaways". Osiris was cut up into 14 pieces, and cast away into the Nile. Isis found all the pieces but one. The fourteenth piece, the lost cap, I have a feeling that only Set knows where he tossed it. He, and the BBC. Check the measurement on mega tooth, above.

Finding Pneuma

I'm reading The Mediterranean Caper, 1972, by Clive Cussler - one of those old paperbacks you find at beach cabins. Dirk Pitt and his merry band of oceanographers is a guilty pleasure, I guess I always liked the idea of a hunky all-male crew out saving the oceans and the world. Apparently, so do erotic comic artists Patrick Fillion and Jacob Mott, who have created the gay version of Dirk Pitt: Mako Finn!

MAKO FINN was born of Patrick Fillion’s love of the ocean and appreciation of the life that resides beneath the waves – especially Sharks. A sexy hero with an ecological slant, Mako is the champion of the Seas, sworn to protect the ocean at all costs.
Hey, I ALSO love the oceans, sea life, and even sharks, especially after going down the Shark God of Molokai rabbit hole a few years ago. Of course, I figure that any true eco-warrior would be labeled an eco-terrorist soon enough by the PTB, which would lend a swash-buckling, piratical flavor to the operation - a queer Captain Nemo!

Even though Dirk Pitt and Mako Finn are both handsome and daring defenders of the seas, there is one rather huge difference between them. This is a steamy sex scene from The Mediterranean Caper:
He lifted her in his arms and kissed her. Her lips were warm and moist.
"When was the last time had a man?" he whispered. "Not since..." Her voice trailed away.
Pitt took her as the long shadows of the rocks crept upward over the beach, shielding their bodies from the sun. A flight of sandpipers circled overhead and descended upon the damp sand at the water's edge. They scurried back and forth, playing tag with the surf. Every so often one of the birds would cast a beady eye at the two lovers in the shade, staring for a fleeting instant before returning to the chore of stabbing its long curved beak in the sand for food.
Wait.... what? This, on the other hand, is a sex scene from Mako Finn:

NOTES:

Jules Verne was very likely gay, so it may well be that Captain Nemo is a subconscious queer character from the get go.

Mako Finn's organization is the Oceanic Research & Conservation Agency, or ORCA. Orca whales, sometimes called "killer whales", are the top predator of the seas (behind man). Being enormous and clever black and white creatures with many sharp teeth, they symbolize inescapable justice, much like Moby Dick and Kauhuhu, the Hawaiian Shark God.

Dirk Pitt's organization is the National Underwater Marine Agency, or NUMA. Pneuma (πνεύμα) is an ancient Greek word for "breath," and in a religious context for "spirit" or "soul."

The "connate pneuma" of Aristotle is the warm mobile "air" that in the sperm transmits the capacity for locomotion and certain sensations to the offspring. These movements derive from the soul of the parent and are embodied by the pneuma as a material substance in semen.
"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit (pneuma), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." ~John 3:5

The Two Towers

The Two Towers
I was chatting with Alan Green last night about the new London Bridge Shard, which I sense is the "twin" of the new One World Trade Center in Manhattan. The Shard was topped out in April 2012, the OWTC is scheduled for topping out in August. Both are "pillarmids" to use Jake Kotze's word - skyscrapers that evoke both pillars and pyramids in their symbolism. The Shard is Europe's tallest building, while OWTC, at a symbolic 1776 ft. including spire, will be the tallest building in the New World.

I see this as a "hands across the waters" thing, the twin towers destroyed in the 9/11 attacks rebuilt, one in the United Kingdom and the other in the United States.

Much has been made of the Statue of Liberty between the WTC towers, representing Isis/High Priestess (the Holy of Holies) between the two pillars of Jachin and Boaz. I consider the WTC to have represented the Masonic third temple of Solomon.

The Three Mary's
Isis is also called Stella Maris, or "Star of the Sea". There are many Catholic parishes in maritime locations called "Our Lady, Star of the Sea". The word Mary has its root in Mar - the sea. So we have these two new pillars standing quite literally on either side of Mary, AKA the Atlantic Ocean, or Atlantis.

A piece of the Emerald Tablet of Thoth/Hermes
In the 2006 film, Superman Returns, Lex Luthor uses one of the stolen Kryptonian crystals (or shards), which he has combined with Kryptonite, to grow a new continental landmass in the Northern Atlantic Ocean. The landmass threatens to destroy Metropolis, so Superman must descend into the depths, and then lift this new continent out of the ocean and hurls it into the heavens. We see him stepping into the role of Atlas, the titan who carries the world on his shoulders, who also happens to be the first born twin son of Poseidon, the king of Atlantis. We note he is powered by the sun, and Isis/Mary's fruit is the sun/son.

Alan reminded me of The Dark Crystal:
The Dark Crystal is a 1982 British-American fantasy film directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. It dramatizes the story of Jen, an elflike 'Gelfling' to restore balance to his alien world by returning a lost shard to a powerful but broken gem.
Ahhh... the USA, a powerful but broken gem - the jewel in the crown, so to speak. Perhaps the former rebels are to be reunited with the Mothership... via a lost "shard".

Trident For Sale, Make Offer - Update

I'm still working my way through 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'. Apparently everything we are currently experiencing is contained in one of Alan Moore's books. LOEG 'Century: 1910' has two main themes - an occult ritual to create a Crowley-like "Moonchild", and the death/rebirth of Captain Nemo.

Since Crowley initiated the Aeon of Horus by declaring it, this Moonchild is, no doubt, none other than Horus himself. The son of the sun and the moon, spirit and matter, Osiris and Isis. This Moonchild may or may not be the antichrist. I saw the recent annular eclipse as a heavenly metaphor for just such a birth or union, which this cool video equates to the return of Quetzalcoatl - the feathered serpent.

Today we have the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket powered, Dragon 'capsule' docking with ISS, or Isis, quite literally, a feathered serpent!

Docked! The ISS and the Dragon capsule are now as one, following the historic docking.

Holy Fuck? "Docking" is also a homosexual act. Cute, eh?

So, that's the Moonchild, what about Nemo?

Last week, Var and I came across this Maserati for sale, "make offer", on the side of the road as if it was an old Datsun pick up. Maserati, by virtue of choosing the trident for their logo, has always been a powerful sync generator for me. The Trident is the weapon of Poseidon, Hades, Shiva, and... Captain Nemo.
This trident belongs not to the devil, however, but one who is sometimes mistaken for him: Shiva, the Divine Bowman. Its spinning arms are the three cities of Tripura- in the words of author Heinrich Zimmer, 'the amalgamated demon-citadel of the world', wrought from iron, silver and gold on the three great planes of earth, sky and heaven. Three great cities in constant rotation; so designed to cheat the prophecy that they- and the Empire they nourish- must one day fall prey to a single bolt from Shiva's bow; a feat that can be accomplished only when the moon floats into a certain rare orbit, and all three rotating cities are conjunct.
~Ben Fairhall
Made me think that the Nautilus was looking for a new captain, or something. For Sale, the Underworld. Make offer. Curiously, we had a fire aboard a nuclear sub in Portsmouth this week.

In Century 1910, Captain Nemo is dying, and he wants an inheritor, but no one will take it. His only daughter, Janni, wants nothing to do with his fanatic vendetta, but he persists.

This drives her away from "Lincoln Island" and onto the seedy docks of London (the world of samsara), where she finds employ in a sailor's inn and bar named the Cuttlefish, and is shortly, brutally, gang raped.

Her "initiation" into the "old boy's club" quickly ignites the fire of vengeance within her. She takes command of the trident armed Nautilus and lays waste to the London docks.

"You know, Ishmael, she's as bad as her old man.
Ha ha!, I'll tell you what, Jack... she's worse.
Ain't it bleedin' wonderful?"

I suspect the next Nemo/Shiva will be feminine in nature. She's got a lot to be really pissed off about.

Nemo is latin for "nobody" first used by Odysseus in his battle against the giant cyclopes Polyphemus: "much spoken of", or "famous".
When Polyphemus asks for Odysseus' name, promising him a guest-gift if he answers, Odysseus tells him "μή τις," literally "nobody." (which, when combined, as in speech also meant "cunning" - "μήτις," and is thus, a play on words.)

Polyphemus could mean a very famous person, or more likely, something that enables the concept of celebrity. Like the media, Hollywood, Youtube, or Facebook. Odysseus defeats Polyphemus by blinding him in his eye.

Nobody / Nemo / Anonymous

The question mark is the sign of Anon, the trident is the sign of Nemo. Perhaps one and the same thing? Who is Nobody?

As Mr. Moore points out, London is New Troy. And we all know how the old Troy turned out. No wonder London is so full of surveillance cameras. Not letting a trojan horse in this time! We shall see.

Update: Much sync has already been mined by the uncanny triple-pointed architectural motif of the World Trade Towers, "the buildings that were built in order to be destroyed".

For some reason, a reason for which I can only thank the gods, the Maserati automobile company has begun investing in yacht racing, which is big publicity (big Polyphemus) in Europe. This places the trident symbol in its proper place, the bow of a ship, or monster from the deep. Polyphemus draws the photographers, and they captured an arresting shot of the Nautilus stealthily emerging in a quiet harbor of NYC, with the trident of Nemo aiming directly at the "unfinished pyramid" of  One World Trade Center!

We note that in this lucky perspective, the trident must pass directly through the Winter Garden:

...and look, the masthead of the Nautilus. A red cross is illuminated.

Alan Moore's favorite symbol for The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is a woman bearing the shield of the red X or cross, and a Trojan inspired helmet that is actually a question mark. I meditate upon this image.
