The firestorm erupted soon afterwards, with some claiming he faked his own death, and others leaping to the defense of the dearly departed. We note that the author began deleting his stories from the forum three days before his sudden "massive heart attack and stroke", and oddly enough, he had posted a story a week before that included a character who was forced to fake his own death after being recruited into a top secret military organization.
Faking your own death on forums is nothing new, and I don't really care if he did or didn't, but it synced because I'd just finished a Dirk Pitt novel that featured a WWII German U-Boat officer who had faked his own death.
Ever since watching Captain America - The First Avenger on 9/11/12, I've been thinking about the presentation of Nazis as wicked seekers of occult power. From Indiana Jones to Hellboy, it's a common theme:
The Munich Lodge of the Germanenorden Walvater of the Holy Grail is given the name Thule Society. The Germanenorden is a secret society dedicated to German nationalism, Nordic racial superiority, anti-Semitism, and reviving ancient Nordic pagan beliefs. Members come primarily from the upper echelons of German society. Some say the Nazis, thanks to mediums channeling info from the Aldebaran system, built flying saucers capable of traveling all the way to Aldebaran - 65 light years away.
In 1919 the Thule Society will sponsor a political party which many of them have joined and in which they have leadership positions: The German Workers' Party (Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, DAP). In 1920 it's renamed the National Socialist German Workers' Party, or Nazi Party. ~skepticism.org
According to Thule, another disc left Antarctica in 1945 with both Hitler and Maria Orsic on board. According to the Thule insider, all subsequent appearances of Hitler were done by his doubles. The corpse in the bunker was the body of a double as well.Faking his own death. And this is where it gets odd, because I went back to the Evolution Archives thread today, and I discovered that the last comment was by a member named Aldebaran.
