Shame

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. --Gen.3:7

The Masons, who some claim secretly run the world, have also made themselves symbolic aprons that cover their genitals. Masons are proud of their secret knowledge, but like most men, are ashamed of their "privates". Are they subconsciously acting out this ancient archetype?

...Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? --Gen.3:11

It would appear that eating of the Tree of Knowledge is a double-edged sword. We acquire "gnosis", but the price is shame - very personal shame. I have a feeling this has become somewhat of a devil's bargain. Somehow, we've come to believe that our own dicks are shameful, and ironically, it is our dicks, through thick and thin, that are always there for us - man's best friend. Faithful, so to speak.

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. --Gen.3:21

OK, God sees Adam and Eve's sorry excuse for clothing, and even though he knows His glorious Image ought to be fully bared, his mercy and his pride has him designing better outfits for them! These "clothes" are traditionally rendered as shapeless caveman animal skins, but I suspect God is a better tailor than that. Maybe Adam's skins looked more like this?

Wen we overcome our shame, we'll step into the inheritance that is ours to claim - Sons (fractals) of the living Father.
