The Race of the Roses

I’ve had a lot of “race” syncs over the past few months, as in a contest of speed, not the genome variety. I watch a car auction blog called Bring a Trailer (because often times the cars on offer do not actually run) but they are increasingly showing race cars, which are always syncy because race cars have numbers, and famous drivers, and history.

I’ve become quite involved in the local Race to Alaska boat race, which has a strong gold rush meme running through it. The prize was $10,000 in Federal Reserve bank notes nailed to a tree, much like Jesus. Jesus was crucified for calling out the money changers in the temple, replacing the cash offerings with his own blood. Blood money?

Though lately, with the media drenched in the blood of the nine lambs of the Charleston Methodist Church shooting, I am more aware of the double meaning. Doesn’t get much more Christian than a blood sacrifice in a church.

Must be blood, must be fresh!

Auto races are famously won by the waving of the checkered flag. This is the flag of the now infamous Masonic tracing board.

The Freemasons were also instrumental in the creation of the KKK, so perhaps the race/race pun isn’t so far-fetched. It leads to silly sync questions: Was the space race racially motivated? What is the prize at the finish line of the human race?

General Lee has been disqualified for unsportsmanlike behavior
“Almighty God created the races white, black, yellow, malay and red, and he placed them on separate continents,” he wrote. “And but for the interference with his arrangement there would be no cause for such marriages. The fact that he separated the races shows that he did not intend for the races to mix.” ~ Loving vs. The State of Virginia, Judge Leon Bazile, New Yorker
Judge Bazile might have remembered Matthew 13:24-30
Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
The races are indeed intended to mix. But not, to get along.

gather the wheat into my barn

Are human beings genetically differentiated by race, for the purpose of some kind of contest, designed by Gods or Aliens or WTF? The kind of thing where the aliens all agree on rules, engineer their various genetic champions, and off we go to the races?

My Fair Lady
I suspect the Freemasons think so. Also the Jews. Perhaps there are Asians and Africans who think so as well. No doubt they all have their secret societies promoting their own home teams.

Go Speed Racer!
More likely, our genes are speaking through our “gods”, “aliens” and “wtf”. The encoding is stronger than the encoded. My conscious understanding of unconscious genetic processes lags sadly behind.

If the races are actually “racing”, then it makes sense that pre-race “cheating” would involve dilution of the competing team’s gene pool. Hence the bizarre fear of “white genocide” expressed by various white racist groups as not being so bizarre after all. It’s a clever way to throw a wrench into the opposing team’s DNA.

On the other hand, combining DNA that “Almighty God” never intended to mix, might lead to some really interesting concrete. What new religion that DNA decides to make of itself is open to question. But whatever it is, that book is being written as we speak.

Gentlemen, start your engines!

Do You Believe in the Virgin Mary?

I saw these photos of Hezbollah fighters saluting images of the Virgin Mary recently. They struck me because of their “otherworldly” lighting, and of course, the fact that these are images of battle-hardened Arab “Islamics”, not Catholics, who venerate Mary as the “Mother of God”.

The Latin root of Mary is “mare”, or the sea. The word appears in marina, marinara sauce, and is associated with all things maritime. Our Mother, the sea. It occurs to me that the Hezbollah soldiers are “Marines”.

Here in Port Townsend, the Catholic parish is named Saint Mary, the Star of the Sea. This is an ancient title that extends all the way back to Babylonian Ishtar. The "Star of the Sea" is also known as the Mariner’s Star: Venus.

Here in Port Townsend we also have a NW Maritime Center - the logo is an M with a five pointed star on the NW corner. The five pointed star, or the pentagram, is associated with Venus because the planet’s path inscribes a pentagram shape on the heavens when viewed from earth. 5 is the number associated with Mary.

The big buzz here lately has been a race sponsored by the NW Maritime Center - the Race to Alaska! The first to finish was the trident resonating trimaran Team Elsie Piddock, in the time of 5 days and 55 minutes.

The NW Maritime Center posts updates on the race, this one about the nature of the merciless sea:
On a boat at sea you are completely insignificant. Think of the forces involved. The liquid that makes up over 75% of the earth’s surface and a fair amount of our atmosphere isn’t just an impossibly large thing compared to a boat, but it’s an impossibly large thing that is affected by even impossibly larger forces… All of the quantum physics (or whatever) involved are too big for our pea brains to comprehend, we’re far more comfortable assigning human emotions to things. When you are in it, and it rages against you day after day, it’s easy to think it’s intentional. The truth is the sea doesn’t throw you gale after never ending gale like a wounded ex throws your clothes onto the lawn. The sea isn’t angry, the sea doesn’t give a damn.

The Crime of the Century

I binge-watched the Netflix production of Marvel’s Daredevil last April, and noted how Ben Urich, the reporter looking into the secret crimes of Hell’s Kitchen’s most noted “philanthropist” - Wilson Fisk, AKA Kingpin - drove a late 90’s Buick Century.

This automobile was perhaps chosen to underline Urich’s relative poverty compared to the transportation of the fat cats who he attempted to expose. Fisk’s lawyer drives a late model Maserati, for example.

Several of us were watching Daredevil and reporting syncs on FB, including Andrew West Griffin, owner and editor of Red Dirt Report. Andrew said that he once drove a Buick Century, which he had nicknamed “the Runt”, the name came to him while raking leaves on Oct. 11. That happens to be my birthday.

Hmmm….

According to Wikipedia:

The model name Century came about when Buick was designing its first production automobile capable of reaching a speed of 100 mph. The division needed to come up with a name. One of the Buick executives had returned from a recent trip to the British isles and told the other executives that the British referred to going 100 mph as "doing the century".

Centuries, or Centuriae, means TRIBE or COMPANY. Theoretically, this word traces its roots to centum which is Latin for one hundred, but that connection is widely disputed or disregarded.
A centurion (also hekatontarch in Greek sources, or, in middle Byzantine times, kentarch) was a professional officer of the Roman army.

As I noted in the previous entry, I spent last Memorial Day reading about the Lincoln assassination by Dave McGowan, or the “Crime of the Century”, as it was called back in the day. Like Urich and Griffin, McGowan is a reporter with a talent for unraveling the mainstream media trance. Perhaps his best analysis of the situation stems from asking the question: “If I was going to assassinate the President, how would I do it?” and considering the myriad opportunities to attack Lincoln while he was alone and vulnerable, the choice of “box seat, Ford’s theater with single shot pistol” defies credulity. However, the choice of venue was logical if part of the goal (perhaps most of it) was to create a national media sensation.

Dave McGowan notes how the Lincoln and Kennedy assassinations and also 911 are conspicuous simply by their conspicuousness. Engineered to be collective rituals, with outrageous and spectacular media manipulation to present a certain narrative of events.

The band Supertramp is syncing back in thanks to their album: Crime of the Century, and the next one: Breakfast in America, resonating 9/11 - the first “Crime of the NEW Century”.

Notes:
Kingpin: Originally, with the 'turntable' steering of horse-drawn wagons, this was a single pin on which the moveable axle was pivoted beneath the wagon's frame. -wikipedia

In other words, a steering device. Apparently the entire lesson is based upon who, or what, is doing the driving. Mad coachmen, runaway horses, the collective carriage is going off the cliff. Apparently, "Time's up, Runt!"
