Dark have been my dreams of late. ~King Theoden
I’ve been stuck in a dark cycle the past few weeks, the previous post stands as a testament to that. Apparently I am not the only one in the Pacific NW who is feeling it, which has recently seen a concentration of violent shootings - see Vancouver Starbucks-Telus World of Science Shootings at Twilight Language for more. It’s fairly rare to find that kind of violence out here, being the land of weed butter and psilocybin honey.
That said, I found one cool local news event:
Resurrection of the Fool |
PORT TOWNSEND –– After 222 years underwater, a historic anchor believed to have snapped free from the ship that accompanied Capt. George Vancouver's late-18th-century Discovery expedition is out of the water.Anchors represent a lot of things, but in this case, the resemblance to Mercury’s caduceus rings out. Mercury, being the Messenger of the Gods, which is simply another way of saying a message from the subconscious… or an anchor brought to the light of day.
Anchor Ventures LLC on Monday retrieved an anchor lodged in the floor of Admiralty Inlet off Whidbey Island that they believe broke free from the HMS Chatham, companion tall ship to Vancouver's HMS Discovery. ~Peninsula Daily News
